Zidane and Garnet. I thought they had the best relationship of everyone in the series. And I was very happy that they got together in the end.
 
Squall and Rinoa. They're by far the cutest couple.

though cloud and aeris is probably more interesting i thought the whole chivalry side of it wins it for me

You mean me....I didn't mean it to be....heck, whatever, yeah I did that subconsciously. ^_^

And oi! I totally forgot Zidane and Garnet as I just sped through this whole thing. I like the fact that they got together like in a marriage, that was a pretty good story too, lagunas dream. Great story and great ending, great game.
 
I liked the whole Zidane and Garnet story. It had a great storyline and I think it beat all the others hands down really.
 
Definitely Zidane & Garnet. There weren't any love triangles (unless you count Eiko but...come on), or a whole lot of melodramatic misunderstandings, just some cute moments between them, flirting, and just...lots of cute-ness xDD There relationship seemed the least forced to me anyway.
 
I really loved Squall and Rinoa as a couple. There two personalities were just so amusing together and I like how they didn't come onto each other right away (although I think Rinoa did quite early). Regardless, Squall and Rinoa = Romance!
 
It just has to be Zidane and Garnet!
I suppose I would have chosen Cloud and Aerith, but the whole love triangle debate somehow ruins the possible romance...

Zidane and Garnet have proven to have the most affectionate fairy tale love. ^__^
 
I pretty much liked them all, but obviously Squall and Rinoa where my favorite.

Since I liked them all, I guess I'd have to rank them.

1: Squall & Rinoa
2: Zidane & Garnet
3: Tidus & Yuna
4: Cloud & Tifa/Aeris

BTW, We all know Cloud loves Tifa :P

Certainly Squall/Rinoa. They just had the most romance in comparison with everyone else.

But my question is, where is the Locke/Celes Option?
 
haha damn i should have put that. i only originally gave the options from 7, 8, 9, and 10. sorry bout that.
 
Me think that Love is in the Air! personally I would've picked Yuna & Tidus but I can't stop thinking about Tifa and Cloud. Isn't the hottest couple but I couldn't help myself!
 
Zidane and Garnet hands down. I know there've been topics like this before, but I guess it was time for a new one.

I love how the whole game ends with both of them wrapped in each others' arms. Sure it seems to have started out as a small crush on Zidane's part, but as he gets sucked deeper and deeper into the story, and Garnet is by his side 'til the end, the afffection grows. Same vice versa. Garnet at first seems to show no interest in Zidane, but after she see's what he's willign to do to make sure she's safe, and that her life is restored back to the proper way, I think she takes on a whole new understanding of who Zidane really is.

If there's one true well developed and not watered down r-ship in the FF series, it has to be the one between Zidane and Garnet. None start off as "love at first sight", but they play it out as a real life companionship would unravel.
