This is different from the favorite game sound track because this is only asking about one.

You know how many games have a main theme song that plays during important parts of the game or even during the title screen? which ones are your favorite?

Zelda: This one is just classic and it is probably the most recognizable. And it really gets you in the mood for the games. I like playing Zelda 1 and 3 because it plays on the over world.

Mario: It's just classic. It played in 1 and in the cartoon series and not much else until the later games. But it's still one of my favorites.

Kid Icarus: Wouldn't have cared about this one until Super Smash Bros where it was remastered. And it sounded awesome.

Final Fantasy. Played in all the games except for X. Love this theme.

Chrono Trigger. It really gets you in the mood for the game. And it's just epic XD

My all-time favourite is probably Vampire Killer, from the Castlevania series. Bloody Tears and Prayer are two that show up quite frequently as well, but I'm pretty sure Vampire Killer is in every Castlevania game, and its my favourite of the three anyway. Each remix is catchier than the last, and it really puts me in the mood for it.

I'm also extremely fond of the main theme from Ninety-Nine Nights. It gets several remixes (this one being my favourite) and plays at most critical, especially epic battles. I fell in love with this game the minute I heard that theme, and it remains one of my favourite 360 games to date.

The Cheetahmen theme will always have a special place in my heart, as it is one of the best 8-bit on Youtube in what was perhaps the absolute worst platformer ever spawned. Aside from all the remixes that the theme has inspired, it was recently featured on Angry Video Game Nerd and experienced a brief surge in popularity.

I've gotten into Super Mario RPG themes as well. This particular boss theme is pretty thumpin.

I actually enjoy the Theme music from Metal Gear Solid circa 1997.

It was only played during the credits of your second play through mind, but it was in the opening sequence of MGS special OPS Mission Disc.

Alot of game music really annoys these days I prefer to play games and only here the sound effects, swords slashes, walking Cars....yknow?

FF wise FFIX was and I suppose still has my favorite theme music IDK its name but is on the world map.

Star Ocean 3 has some great opening and ending theme music.

Dragon Quest
As a series I prefer FF but DQ6 is one of my all time favourite games (highly highly recommended when it comes out for DS). The theme music is the perfect way to start the game.

Fire Emblem
I love FE, loved the difficulty when it was on the NES/SNES and the theme. FE4 is also one of my all time favourite games, it had a perfect soundtrack to me. Here's the map themes in a medley, I could just leave the game on to listen to the music.

Tetris
you all know how addictive it is...

Donkey Kong
As far as classic Nintendo themes go, this is by far the best for me. Mario doesn't come close to DK in terms of funky music. I miss DK... goddamn Microsoft buying Rare...

Devil may cry 3- Devils never cry. It came back in many forms in the game (piano, trumpets, choirs) and I never get enough from it.
Devil may cry 4- Shall never surrender. Same case as above. ^^
Uncharted- Drake's theme. Man if that pops up in the title screen I just get shivers all over my body.

I Can fly.... Final Fantasy X..... Epic Music love it :)

Seymour battle FFX as well epic battle theme

then finally FF9 Normal battle theme.... best normal battle theme ever

on the side.... Star Ocean, the last hope battle theme... good music

Persona 3 & 4: The OSTs in these 2 are just brilliant. A nice mix of JPop with somr R'n'B thrown in. A little techno and odd rock and it makes for some awesome listening.

Dragon Age Origins: This OST really does put you right into the game. It can dramatic, soft and also haunting. It plays perfectly with the game.

"Old Snake" from MGS4 is definitely up there with the best from what I've heard of that OST, it has a nice mixture of varying styles, some more intense, dramatic feelings yet some calmer moments before going back into a more dramatic feeling.

"Sun Kil Moon - Heron Blue" from the Gears of War 3 trailer, whether it will be included in the OST I have no idea but either way it's awesome. It does sound a bit like Viggo Mortensen too. :hmmm: I love the style of singing.

There's also "Compass" from Red Dead Redemption which gets an honourable mention along with most of the NieR soundtrack.
