Whats your fav quote from any character from ffVI (other than i hate hate hate hate ect. from kefka its too obvious) ( :whogives: )

(in the desert)

Kefka: guards, theres sand on my shoes!
Guards: Yes Sir!
(guards wipe off Kefka's shoes, Kefka turns around)
Kefka: idiots!

Hahah, FFVI does have a lot of memorable quotes. Especially from Kefka; he was quite the character.

The one that makes me laugh the most is one that's already been mentioned
"'Wait', he says... Do I look like a waiter?"
I love that, he's so witty.

Also, "Why do you think oppose rhymes with dispose?"


Then there's Setzer:

"A two-headed coin..? How low can you get? I love it!"

"Why not? Nothing to lose but my life... and I got that for free!"
 
Kefka: "You may as well be the dirt on the bottom of my boots, or the dirt stuck to the bottom of that dirt." :D

I have his laugh set as one of my msn sounds. Whenever someone on my contacts logs in I hear Kefka's laugh. It freaked me out first 2-3 times, but then I got used to it.
 
Kefka has some really good quotes beside the ones that were already mentioned such as:

"You sound like chapters from a self-help booklet!"

"There's nothing like the sound of hundreds of voices screaming in unison."

"I will destroy everything! I will create a monument to non-existence!"

He is probably the funniest and the most evil villain in the series.
 
I liked a lot of the Kefka and Sabin quotes already mentioned :D Also, this one from Setzer--

"What's the best thing in life? Being free of obligations! Otherwise you lose the ability to gamble..."

Ahh, wise words :ryan: And also, the battle between Relm and Ultros where she calls him "Uncle Ulty" :lew: I always laugh at that whole exchange.

Idunno Gway, I was always taught that gambling was a poor habit to acquire.


Did anyone else ever notice that Kefka's laugh (as well as a lot of other sound bits) is also very present in Chrono Trigger?


And do people like the Sabin quotes so much because of the meaning we have for 'bear' these a days?
I mean, I assume that's what the reason is, but it kinda doesn't seem funny enough to me so I feel like I might misunderstand.
 
First off I'm going in Terra mode, Thank you Locke! Thank you Edgar! [the men start swooning, hiding behind the menu] Stop swooning! And now since I can't believe nobody quoted this infamous dialog of Kefka, maybe because it's overused but either way I feel compelled to say it. "Why do people insist on creating things that will inevitably be destroyed? Why do people cling to life, knowing that they must someday die? ...Knowing that none of it will have meant anything once they do? Life... Dreams... Hope... Where do they come from? And where do they go...? Such meaningless things... I'll destroy them all!" Oh and let not forget Ultros' What a delicious morsel! I wanna get my tentacles around her...! (about to attack Terra) pervert >:}
 
I only have one and it's in my sig.........ever since Shadow said it it's stuck with me........

I think them words alone descibes how Shadow is throughout the game a person who's killed his emotions after a tragic past he can't get over.
 
My personal favourite would be Edgar's rescue mission to free Celes from the clutches of the sinister Setzer and he pulls his trademark trick; his Tailless Coin.

Setzer: "A two-headed coin? How low can you get? I love it!"


Another favourite would be Shadow's quote when you first meet him in South Figaro Pub and his warning appears hostile.

Shadow: "Leave us, the dog eats strangers."


This amused me some time ago when I first played the game, seeing how I read about Sabin's fabled strength and his 'button-pressing Blitz', so as I passed through Mt Vargas, I was eager to add that 'possibly' strong man to my team. Sure enough, upon meeting him, Terra revealed that she thought he was another bear and he responds w/ the following.

"I thought you were one of Vargas' bears."
"Think a 'bear' like me can be of use?"

It was funny, because he was indeed a bear, as far as my strength-defining algorithms were concerned.


Locke's standard catch-phrase never fails to amuse me when someone slips the word 'thief' in the conversation. He responds w/ great anger instilled.

"It's TREASURE HUNTER!! Don't confuse me from a run-of-the-mill thief!"


Any laugh of Kefka's. I'm serious. I even ran out the clock in Empire HQ cuz I wanted to hear that jerk laugh inside of his prison cell.
