I'm not exactly sure where to put this, so if it needs to be moved feel free. Anyway, I wanna see how many art fans we have on these forums. And I'm talking actual art, not anime.

M.C. Escher
Salvador Dali
Roger Dean
Thomas Cole
Yoshitaka Amano (he actually HAS done alot more than just FF and Vampire Hunter D)
Joan Miro
Kandinsky
 
I like the top 2 you posted there, I like weird looking paintings and ones that mess with your head...I think that's Escher with the weird stairs and shizz

I like that dude that does the stick men aswel, Lowry or summin....?

Erm *thinks back to Art in school* Bah, I know theres more but I just can't think of any

I like all those print kinda pics, I like bold colours and whatnot, but again , I couldn't name any particular artist. I must look into this I think

Haha, yes, Escher does the stairs and lots of other mindfucks. And I do believe you're thinking of L.S. Lowry. His people aren't quite stick figures, but they're very simplistic in design.

@ VR Yeah I think that's the guy, I quite like those mind fuck pics. And it's pop art I like, with the prints and stuff, just couldn't think of the word. Still don't know any artists that do it tho, it's more the style in general I like

And we still know you are a clown Riku, you can delete your posts but we still saw your dumbass moment there :wacky:

Ohhh, pop art? It bores me. I'm more into surrealism, it's nice and trippy. And sham eon me for forgetting Ernst >_<

And yes, we did see your dumbass moment Riku. And Da Vinci did the Mona Lisa xD
 
I like cell shading and all that jazz. Im just like a child really, Im attracted to all the big bold colours and I think they would look 10 times better on my walls than some fussy landscape pic.

Im trying to do my own because Im too skint to buy the very expensive canvas pics I see online :wacky:

That tree has an ear :wacky: I think theres abit too much going on in that for my liking. I like simple designs lol, I know even a school kid could do summin this simple but I like it :monster:

Ooooh I love that lizard one! I didn't even realise it was lizards til I clicked it, it's so detailed and complicated looking, Id be screwed trying to do that lol :wacky:

I like the coolours aswel, I think taht would look good onmy kitchen wall, altho it's being redecorated soon and I was gunna stick to Black and white prints in there. Or maybe 1 colour per picture o_O
 
He liked to mess around with infinite images and things of that sort. If you want black and white, how's about these?



 
Moar lizard things, that is pretty nifty but Id more likely end up with somthing like you're avy(altho now MGS - if thats what it is o_O), than one of those tbh :wacky:

I also like photographic art, (yes b&w again lol) I have a big new york poster thingy in my kitchen, I like pictures of places and people lol......

I didn't realise how fussy I was until now haha
 
I enjoy looking at Picasso's work. I love cubism and distortion. It just plain looks cool.
 
Salvador Dali is probably my personal Fav, I loved the film he did with Buneul "Un chien andalou" (really trippy stuff :huh:)

Another one of my favs is Andy Warhol, I find his films very interesting.

I also like some of Picasso's work as well as Frida Kahlo's.
 
Yoshitaka Amano has been mentioned and is really the only one I can think of lol. I work in the art section at work and I have no idea who half of them are. I also like Da Vinci's pieces.
 
Magritte- 'this is not a pipe' genius really and a total mindfuck and a like a lot of his other work.
William Blake- He is incredibly talanted, there is even a movie based on one of his pictures
John Constable- absolutley beautiful paintings, he is just too good for words
