I'm doing an American accent constantly because I love it so much.
>_ < I think this is the most terrible accent one can want to have to be honest.
I had one girl at work who is from the Phillipines and was taught to speak American-English, (which is stupid because English from England is proper English) and every day I had to turn off the speakers in the office because I could not stand her voice projecting over every five minutes.
There are so many Filo American wannabes in my area it's insane. They just sound dumb when they forget to put on the accent.
Maybe that's why I dislike it so much...because I'm hearing the ones that don't do it properly.
Sorry if I offended anyone in advance.

Anyway with that rant over with, I can do a really decent Pommy accent as I have heaps of mates who came over from England when they were teenagers. So it definitely rubs off being around them everyday including at work.
(You even pick up weird words like 'hoovering', which means vacuuming.

I had the best New Years with one of their families and it was just awesome hearing them making jokes and especially 'ya mum' jokes. That accent always makes even some of the lamest jokes funny... so did the alcohol a bit.
