Fake Accents/Impersonations

I'm doing an American accent constantly because I love it so much.

>_ < I think this is the most terrible accent one can want to have to be honest.

I had one girl at work who is from the Phillipines and was taught to speak American-English, (which is stupid because English from England is proper English) and every day I had to turn off the speakers in the office because I could not stand her voice projecting over every five minutes.

There are so many Filo American wannabes in my area it's insane. They just sound dumb when they forget to put on the accent.

Maybe that's why I dislike it so much...because I'm hearing the ones that don't do it properly.

Sorry if I offended anyone in advance. :sorry:

Anyway with that rant over with, I can do a really decent Pommy accent as I have heaps of mates who came over from England when they were teenagers. So it definitely rubs off being around them everyday including at work.

(You even pick up weird words like 'hoovering', which means vacuuming. >_<)

I had the best New Years with one of their families and it was just awesome hearing them making jokes and especially 'ya mum' jokes. That accent always makes even some of the lamest jokes funny... so did the alcohol a bit. >_<

I can do a very good Indian accent. It wasn't very hard, it sort of just came out one day when I was fooling around. I have a Chinese accent, but you barely notice it anymore because I've been in the US for so long, but I can still turn it on and off when I want to.

I can also laugh exactally like Peter Griffin on Family Guy. It's scary how much I can sound like him.

I can do quite a few accents mainly from different localisations or stereotypes however...

Gangsta, Brummy, Scouser, Irish (excell at this since im half irish anyway), welsh, cockney, Indian, Alabaman, Dittsi American Blonde...the list goes on ;)

I fail at accents. >_< Usually I come across as someone that stereotypes people because of where they're from, or racist. -_-

Me: "Want some FEEEEESH and CHEEEPS mate?!"
Person from Aussie: "STFU"

:wacky:

I guess I can do a "gangsta" voice, though, just because I've been around so many people that think they're "from da hood". See what I mean about sounding racist?
