Arc I: The Battle for Gracemeria: May 13, 3 BSC

Aurelius looked out from a tower on the outer wall of Gracemeria. His Knights and Archers stand prepared to defend the town and the castle against the invaders.

Aurelius was decked in his full armor. With the Gracemerian Star ordained on his brilliant white chestplate. Though his generals advised the King to head to the border immediately, he willingly stayed with his trusted friend and bodyguard, Ellie Amadeus for the castle's defense.

"Your Majesty, the Khesedian Army is within sight. Archers, fire your arrows at the invading army."

With that the Gracemerian Archers started firing arrows at the Khesedian forces.

Ellie, watching the battle with her friend, thought over the plan. In the event that the Defense goes south, she would take the King and retreat Eastward towards the Alma River. While Ellie was confident that the Gracemerian Army is perfectly capable of repelling another Khesedian army, despite losing the previous King in that battle, she was certain that the defenses would hold.

The King on the other hand, wanted to ensure that the Kingdom that his family built survives, because of this, he had worry in his eyes. Worry that he would have let his father and his forefathers down because of it. For one moment, he prayed to God, hoping for a victory.

Tyler sat on a horse, greatsword in hand. He gripped the hilt of his sword tight as he sat, tense and prepared for battle.

Two rows of archers stood behind him, ready to fire on command. Tyler bided his time, waiting until the first volley of arrows were launched from the bows of the Gracemarian forces, before raising his sword, the signal to fire.

A few infantrymen had fallen to the first volley of arrows, but no matter. They had plenty more to eliminate the Gracemarian army with. There was no hope for them, even under the command of Ellie Amadeus.

He wondered why the Emperor was so determined to take down such a small kingdom, but did not consider asking for a moment. His Emperor's wishes were reason enough to bring this place down.
