Anyone happen to notice in disc 3 when Squall makes the promise to Rinoa in that reserved area, that it looked strangely familar? The Beginning scenes in the game.
Flower Field and At the beach, so basically its all linked to that place and thats where everyone grew up together except for Rinoa. Its not a big awe or anything but certainly interesting. ^_^

And yes, I've noticed this on my very first playthrough as well. :) I think that was one of my favorite moments in the game - the promise that Squall makes for Rinoa. Isn't it also the same place towards the end of the game...? :hmmm: Because they promised that they'd meet up there and so that's where Rinoa discovered Squall. I could be wrong, but that's what I had in mind back then.
 
It was a beautiful scene where Squall made his promise. Its nice that SE decided to use those locations more then once. I guess it was to show they were meant to be together because the place became familiar to them?
 
^^ Yeah, it deff shows the link between the place and the two of them. And Mits I think your right, which also means they both kept their promise and met up with eachother again. Very cute I thought :)
 
I was pretty sure that those lines shown in the beginning scene were going to be said at some point in the game, and because of the FMV I did expect it to be in some sort of flower field, so when it comes up at that point in the game it sort of just seemed like the final nail in the Squall/Rinoa coffin (very bad analogy XD)
Moved by it, I was. But not surprised.
 
Hm now that I think about it Mitsuki, you could more than likely be right.
^_^; I have had the game ever since I was in the 7th grade, which now I am enrolled into college yet I still am realizing the secrets of the game xD
 
It's strange, at the time I remember thinking the beginning of the game could be very important in the later stages. Once I got to the later stages, I had completely forgotten about the beginning XD

I agree with you guys though, very well done.

I remember seeing it the first time when they make their promise and I was like, ohhhhhh, how sweet :wacky:
 
i get the feeling we're all supposed to have met here because some dude made an FMV 10 years ago to get us all to chat about how edeas house and the opening Fmv on FFVIII are connected ........but l dont remember any of you guys....must be all the GF's i used I was so caught up in the whole story that i didnt take much notice till my next playthrough but it was a nice feeling to be in the hands of destiny and all that junk
 
yeah there is a link between stuff in that game but that's what i like about it people wouldn't look for those little details most of the time most newbs just rush and go through the game without even noticing alot.
