I'm currently watching the Day 2 Microsoft conference. When did voice recognition become such a popular thing for the 360? In the second half, they demonstrated it in the live demos of both Mass Effect 3 and the new Ghost Recon. And then they did a whole thing just dedicated to voice recognition and navigating the 360's menus by giving speech commands. Do you guys really care about this?

Also, they revealed that you will be able to watch live TV on the 360. Awesome...? It's hard to get excited about this kind of stuff. The 360 is just a PC that's less customizable.
 
Microsoft's conference was boring. Why does Kinect games look so...terrible I've seen better graphics in Sega Dreamcast >.>

What's the deal with the Wiiu? Is it just the controller you have to buy as some form of upgrade, or is there a whole system they decided not to show?
 
I liked the looks of the Vita better than my current psp but unless a game im avid about getting comes out on it I still doubt I will buy it untill then.
I was kinda expecting for them to anounce Type-0 for it though to be honest for some reason it just seems like a way to sell the device more so im glad as of now they havent stated anything like that...
But theres still time...
 
They did show the WII U console as well. I think the controller is a huge part of it though. The WII U looks pretty ace to be honest. Also a new smash bros for 3DS and WII U is what excited me so much. Luigi's Mansion II as well. Finally a sequel to that really great Gamecube game.
 
I watched, but I didn't see it. What does it look like? All I saw was the controller with the screen on it and glimpse of a white little box underneath the TV in the trailers.

I'm excited for Smash Bros and Luigi's Mansion II as well. I didn't get to play Brawl (games are so expensive...), but I hope I get to play this one.

Of course, before I even think about buying Wii/Wiiu games, PS3 has to come first. xD

Tomb Raider...I will get you. I promise. I'll sell my kidney, my Wii system since its basic trash now and work 8 jobs if it means getting a PS3 and the game. Lara is actually believable in this game, except that voice when she is falling down or something...

Oh and What the Wii-U looks like...I have no idea they only showed the controller...i guess it kinda looks like the wii from what Reggie said... but who really knows... and the controller only works in the same room for those that hoped to play it all over the place :wacky: .
 
Well Reggie did say it wasn't mean to be a handheld and that it was a console. When they asked about a internet browser, Reggie's face lit up with a grin but he refused to say anything.

I have a feeling its something fairly huge and important.
 
I think the Vita's gonna be pretty awesome, considering some specs I saw in Game Informer Magazine. Apparently, the hardware is more powerful than both the PS3 and 360. That's pretty impressive for a handheld system, imo.

Time to go get another job to pay for my Vita! xD PSPhone, you'll have to wait...

They focused on the controller presumably since that's the main selling point. But yes, it is an entirely new console, probably a lot more powerful than the Wii.

I would have to agree with this, since much like the 3DS, it doesn't change the way in which you play the games. It's gimmicky, sure, but with the DS and the Wii they added touch screen and motion controls, but with the 3DS and the Wii-U, they give you a screen in your controller and 3D vision. Having said that, I'm not necessarily going to say I'm so much disappointed as I am curious. I've never been a huge fan of Nintendo's more innovative moves, so I won't write it off just for that. If anything, that controller suggests a move back towards analogue sticks, d-pad and buttons, as opposed to excessive use of the Wiimote, though the trailer shows that it still central to many of the games. Whilst it is less of a step forward, I think that Microsoft this year proved that being the most innovative doesn't mean being the best.
 
It is a lot more powerful than the Wii. I believe Reggie talked about it :hmm: I think after his discussion with Blaire and the other funny one who I can't recall the name of right now. And then I think he talked about it by the boothes later....

If it can emulate PS3 (near PS3 at least, it looked awesome) and Xbox graphics, with that much memory and that controller, it will be super powerful.
 
I think besides Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Halo 4, and Battlefield 3 this E3 sucked harder then a Dyson. :hmph:


It was boring, awkward to watch and not fun at all. I mean, even the hosts had a boring time... and they're nerds.

If it wasn't for Halo 4, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Battlefield, I probably wouldn't have even cared about it. :/

I mean, what the heck is with Nintendo's new system/controller thing? 8( is that supposed to wow me? Cuz the PSVita or whatever does the same switch from tv to handheld thing, I ain't buying those.

I think the most disappoint, was the Microsoft and Sony conference. Both wasted so much time on one thing. Kinect is absolutely "bah" and Vita...eh.

Tomb Raider looks absolutely gorgeous. And when I get it and you still hate it, you'll have to sit and hear Tomb Raider blasted until you turn to love it.

Now as I just read, the some clips of the footage isn't officially from their product. But Reggie said it would like exactly like it. They did show its official graphics with the bird flying around though (I can try and find it if you want). Reggie said it would be a year until they were allowed/could show official footage of the games...
 
both Vita and Wii U have potential for some unique gameplay thanks to their respective quirks. What they need is strong 3rd party support, as with all consoles.
 
Wii U has a lot of 3rd party support, Reggie and the other Nintendo people said on stage. And then Reggie said it again, rather quickly, to Blaire and the other guy.
