Dungeon Crawlers

darkswordprince: its night time and no one came yet.

(it seems only three of them do guard duty at night, guess i can kill off some of them that sleeping to make it easy for my allies tomorrow)

darkswordprince uses stealth and get in the lamias sleeping grounds and starts killing them one by one without a single nosie. after dps kills 10 of them he goes back to the inn to report his findings

darkswordprince: hey everone i just killed 10 of them that leaves 10 left from what i counted. it seems they only use a small number for guard duty.

darkswordprince: sorry for leaving without saying anything but i scout better when i'm alone. thier is less distractions that why, and i feel more comfort when i'm alone.

the resone i used stealth was because nobody know i'm here but you guys i did alot of bad things and now alot of people want me dead.

*Manus stops reading to listen to DSP' explanation. He begins to roll up his scroll and places it back into his cloak. He then looks over at Shenorai, allowing the concerned look in his eyes to penetrate the darkness from the cloak's hood.*

"Ten less tonight perhaps. But come tomorrow the others will probably be concerned to find their companions dead. I fear you may have caused more trouble than you have saved us."

*Manus begins to have second thoughts about joining this crew without first getting to know them a little better. Although the fact that DSP was apparently a wanted man didn't bother him. Angry people was something he was used to dealing with, and since they weren't after him, it would be easy enough to get away if need be. However, something about him told Manus to keep his eyes peeled. Being around trouble is one thing, inviting one to accompany you is another.*

:I hope I haven't acted to impulsively. Missions like these may allow me to find some magical artifacts that I'd love to study, but at what cost?*

*Manus continues pondering, but decides that he will stay with the group for now. At the moment nothing is beyond his control, and as long as it stays that way, there's no reason to back out now. After all, he had risked his life numerous times in the name of magic. Why should now be any different?*

Decided to go outside to practice beating up nearby trees to hone skill for the mission that is to come soon.

while practicing, Encountered numerous amounts of wolves. beat them all down with an fireball. as for the leader of the wolf pack, we exchanged blows and bites. eventually, i finished the fight by using a blitz technique known as suplex. at the end of the fight, battered and all, i collapse at the entranced of the inn.

Shenorai looks down at the beaten companions and sighs. She slid off of the barrels and walked over to him, poking and nudging him with her boot.

"Are you just going to lie there all day? We haven't even set out yet and you've already gotten yourself in trouble."

And speaking of setting out, Shen looked at her other two party members.

"Well, we might as well start heading over. Does anyone have any potions or tonics for this guy?"

*Manus looks at the body by his feet, now more fearful than ever that he may have jumped into this mission without thinking it through.

Manus considers the small stock of herbs and other spell components he keeps on his person.*

"...I do have a few items that I keep on hand for personal use. I suppose that I can lend a few for now."

*Manus stops and thinks for a second, then speaks with a tone of annoyance in his voice, mostly to himself, yet audible enough that anyone could hear should they care to.*

'Although at this rate I'll have nothing left before we even leave sight of this inn.'

*Manus steps back into the inn, emerging moments later with a small vial of a purple liquid. He shoves the potion in the direction of Arthvader showing his obvious discontent with the whole ordeal. He made it quite clear from his gesture that he was in no way going to tend to the man at his feet.*

"Here. Drink this."

*Manus removed his hood and scowled at Arthvader.*

I hope you prove more useful on this mission than a test of my potion making skills."

*As soon as the vial left his hands, Manus quickly pulled the hood back over his hood and slowly began to walk North away from the Inn, not bothering to look back to see if his companions were following. However, he did take extra care to use his staff as a walking stick to ensure that he walked slow enough to show that he did not intend on leaving without them.*

"Don't worry Manus, this experience helped me out just as much as it did for you."

drinking the potion, I've regain strength, and then decided to wait for the rest of the group to get ready. Then, we'll leave as a group.

dps uses stealth and sprint and heads north

i'll wait for you guys when you get there

dps finds a tree and climbes up and takes a nap, while waiting for his allies

*After travelling for a few days, Julius arrived at the "Dungeon Crawlers" Guild. Gently he smiled and called Shenorai, the leader of this guild in order to discuss a few subjects regarding the RP Land (erm....new name? XD). After walking through the main hall, Julius greeted the many warriors he meet across his path.*

Julius: "Greetings young sir, perhaps you could lead the way to your leader."

The knight kindly accepted the stranger's commands after Julius introduced himself as a representative from the Balamb Garden which was one of the Guilds that belonged to both the RPG Realm Kingdom and the RP Association.

After a going upstairs, Julius reached the Shen' Chambers. He respectfully bowed to the other knight and the knight left after announcing Julius' pressence.

Julius: "Greetings young lady. I am Julius Argexis Silverwing, from the Silverwing Family, I come to your pressence with a humble petition. You see, as the leader of a clan, I am also interested in the affairs of the citizens of both lands. I wish to join and assist your cause as a representative of my clan. However, the final decision of whethere I can join your guild or not it's only yours to take."

Julius awaits patiently for Shen's answer.

*Alas, it wasn't Shenorai who was up in her quarters, but rather a young red-headed girl who goes by the name of Kyria. (see signature) She stayed in the area to pursue knowledge in the field of medicine, making her a scholar of sorts. However, she was asked by Shen to inform anyone who came for her about her whereabouts. The girl looked up from her book of herbs and spoke in a soft voice.*

I'm sorry...Miss Eterna is out right now. She headed north to retrieve something from some old ruins. Would you like me to take a message for you or are you going to pursue her?

~~Meanwhile~~

*At the pace the party was traveling at, the ruins were in sight in a matter of hours. The figures that were scouting around were certainly not men: they only appeared to be half a man. About fifteen or sixteen lamias slithered around the perimeter of the ruins. They were possibly scouts. Though the group was nowhere near close enough to hear, they spoke to each other in sharp, hissing noises. They only had breastplates and their scales for protection. Their weapons of choice: venomous fangs, their tails, and crudely-made wooden spears with stolen iron heads.*

...some small number...guess whatever is in there should be worth the trouble.

Julius was surprised to discover that Lady Eterna was nowhere to be found. Of course, Julius knew about the many exploits of Lady Eterna and how she earned the fame of being known as a skilled fighter. After having a conversation with Kyria and learning much of Shenorai's whereabouts, Julius decided to both leave a message and to travel to this mysterious ruins.

Julius: "A appreciate your help young master Kyria, I shall depart now. Please if you see Lady Eterna, give her this letter."

The letter contained Julius' intentions of joining Lady Eterna's Guild and how he offered his services to the greater good of the RP Land. Not long after he left Shenora's chambers, Julius stumbled across a mysterious man. Julius somehow recognized this man from another place, but he wasn't too sure where ot when he meet him. Not caring that much for this, Julius left to the ruins on horseback as fast as he could.

dps: hears the foot steps of shenorai and wakes up and jumps out the tree. stops shenorai before she goes any farther

"the lamias seem to call a small number of allies to help them. we should wait till are allies get here

*Manus takes his place next to Shenorai and DSP (who, for some reason insists on calling himself DPS...). He looks across the land in front of them, noticing the Lamias. Although the Lamias are out of earshot, and couldn't have noticed them from this distance, he speaks with a low tone.*

"I hope we've managed to keep our intentions secret. Obviously our presence will come as no surprise as one of us has taken it upon himself to give that away. Surely they must be aware that we would return after slaughtering some of their allies in their sleep."

*Manus then stands quietly awaiting further instruction.*

After a few hours, Julius arrives at the ruins only to discover that Shen was nowhere to be seen and in here place, he found a group of lamias wandering the area. Without losing any valuable time, Julius left his horse at the entrance and drew his sword while approaching the group of enemies.

Julius: "Darn, I doubt I could take them all by myself....if only I could find a way to split their group....huh?!"

Julius suddenly notices that one of the trees was almost ready to fall so he decided to lower himself in order to avoid being spotted and approach the tree. Before taking any action, Julius realized that his attack would alert the other Lamias that could be nearby which would end in a bad situation for him.

With no other choice Julius sighed and remained behind the tree waiting for someone to appear.

Julius: "Even though these monsters are quite primitive, their large numbers could be a problem."

caught up to Julius and the spot where the lamias were located. Decided then to charge up towards them.

just moments before, I decided to call out my summon (Holy Phoenix) to aid me in this battle.

back at the battle, I have my phoenix start freezing the lamias with it's blizzara spell, while i charge at the attack, shattering each of the lamias.

eventually, after defeating all of the lamias, another swarm of lamias, this time with goblins, arrived to the sceen. struggling, i could barely withstand all of their attacks.

knowing that Julius is looking, I said to julius: "Hey, can you help me out? This is sorta getting out of hand for me!!"

darkswordprince: there fighting going, i go up the tree to check.

goes up the tree and looks towrd the field and see's two people, one is fighting lamias and gobins the other is hiding an seems to be waiting for backup

(talk about me shoot i would never run stait into the enemie without thinking first, doing that will only get you kill)

jumps down from the tree and tells shenoria and manus the news.

darkswordprince: i'm going to help them, you two should go after the armlet while the lamias and goblins are busy with us. i'm sure me, arthvader, and juliuscan take of the monsters.

uses sealth and sprint to catch up with arthvader and julius, the lamias and goblins don't relize that i'm behind them.

darkswordprince: (whisper)its time for you all to die

Julius: "This wasn't the idea of a surprise attack I had in mind...alright, time slay some lamias"

As Julius felt the presence of one of the lamias approaching from the rear, Julius felt yet another presence. Julius wasn't that sure if whethere he should trust or not this new person, but he had no other choice.

When Julius heard the sound one of the blades of the lamias being swung towards his neck, Julius made a quick sidestep dodge and slashed through the chest of the lamia. The lamia's anger aroused with Julius' attack ending up in a flurry of devastating attacks being dealt agains Julius. Julius, who was also paying attention to his other opponents, lifted a cloud of dust with his blade limiting the sight of his opponent.

Suddenly, between the cloud of dust being lifted just moments ago, the sound of Julius' blade slicing through the lamia once again could be heard. Screaming in agony, the lamia gave an inhuman growl and then fell dead.

Julius: "One down.....oh f**k....now that's what I call being screwed..."

Julius noticed that not only he was surrounded, but that the lamias were summoning reinforcements from the nearby area.

Julius: "this is great....." *sighs* "What's the worst that could happen today?"

notice's julius is in trouble and starts to attack the goblins and lamias killing three of them with his sealth attack, and know my presence is known to the enemy and his alies.

darkswordprince: you b!@#$#ds better make this fun

throws a posine bomb at large number just out of range of hitting his allies. the lamias start attacking me, but able to dodge and block most of their attacks, but till gets hit by some of them.

darkswordprince: holy s@#t theirs more than i though we need to team up julius and arthvader.

as for me, i started to charge at them again while my summon provides backup for me.

This time i have my pheonix cast flare for maximun effect against the lamias, while i went after the goblins. as the goblins start their attack at me, i managed to dodge their attacks, and counter them each with a pummel blitz.

At this point, i took out half of the goblins while my pheonix took out over 75% of the lamias.

The number of lamias began to decrease as the battle went on. Most of them were slain. However, a few managed to escape back into various gaps in the ruins. Were they seeking more reinforcements or were they retreating into the assumed safety of the ancient site? One would assume safety, since a band of goblins arrived to give aid to their apparent monstrous friends. These gruesome creatures were armed with all manners of weapons and armor, though they have favored rusted weapons over well-kept ones.

"Goblins? I never would've thought they'd side with lamias..." Shen glanced over at Manus with a nod, almost as though saying 'time to head over'. "There's probably more to come from here on in. We should check for entrances while we're over there," she advised, though it was a little unnecessary to speak of the obvious.

Since the lamias and goblins were already alert and aware of the humans' presence, Shen dashed over towards the site. As she came closer to the monsters, the woman slowed down to a jog and held right hand out beside her. Glowing lavender tendrils erupted from her palm and weaved themselves together, forming the shape of a short sword. Shen grasped the handle, solidifying the shape into its metallic form. The blade of the sword had a faint glow to it, giving Shen a bit of extra light as dusk began to seize the sky with hues of red and yellow.

The sun was yet to sink into the horizon.
