Duel Colliseum

To my knowledge, there is no end to it. I've played through them for many hours and never found an end to them, so i'm inclined to say it's a neverending set of courses, purely designed for both levels and items.
 
the colluseum is just for getting items and to lvl your chars.
but i wonder if i can get the Genjiarmor here?
 
The Items just randomly appear
I just quit the game once i get 999 medals xD
But yeah its a really good way to level up (except for the exdeath thing)
 
... And to get PP Points. Usually, I spend my time grinding the characters through a never ending string of opponents so that I get the maximum medals possible (999), then cash them in for PP (By default).

Items-wise, I usually try to get the job card that makes all Treasure Cards free. (I forgot which exactly was it though)
 
That would be Red Mage, combined with Thief and Ninja it makes a pretty good combo (or the one that boosts medals awarded from fights)

Right now though, i'm leaning more to fighting Chaos so I try to clear through the smallfry to Chaos fights. Both for the AP/EXP/PP and also for the huge medal amount for winning.

But ya, 999 Medals really rakes in the PP, especially on Falcon and Invincible (safer than Lunar Whale and BlackJack)
 
yeah it is safer. but it is too easy i think to get the 999 medals. i usually play the lunar Whale becouse the thinks i get there are very useful.

the other 2 i just use 4 lvling but i didnt try out the blackjack. kinda scared of that think:P
 
Yeah, the harder the course, the higher PP amount for a single medal (I think invincible is 1 medal=8 PP) but of course, this depends on what you're after, be it levels, abilities or just PP. Former two is better with Chaos, latter is best with Duel Colliseum imo.
 
Get multiple Ranger job cards until you get to 100-150, and then start looking for Black Mage cards (if your card luck isn't at 5, get a Time Mage card too). Keep fighting the X2 cards and you'll get 999 in no time. Then, you can either cash it out for PP, get some Thief cards and get treasure, or get some thief cards, get some treasures until you reach 500 medals, then fight an X2 card and get more treasures and so on.
 
I have gotten to 100 consecutive wins before, so yeah, it is endless (surely they don't expect players to get 999/1000 consecutive wins... X_x). :P

Most consecutive wins I have gotten on the Blackjack Course is 7. >_> Got 60 Consecutive wins on the Invincible Course before quitting from it with mah 999 Medals (unless it is on one of the two hardest Courses, I always make sure I have 999 medals before quitting. ;).

My best characters would seem to be Cloud and Golbez. I believe it was actually Golbez that I got the 7 Consecutive wins in the Blackjack Course before I quit for fear of losing.

Crap, that Snowpetals' effect is overpowered (Magic Counter Strength +300%), an enemy dropped the Snowflake Sweater, and I think I have one of the other ones too, can't remember what it is called though... :/
 
i have found that the duel colisseum goes on forever however it is a good place to level up your characters, and also you can obtain the recipes for useful items here, (you may have to play through a few times to get them all though) and also trading in your medals for PP is also a good way to get things from the PP catologue
 
I mainly go for the treasure, not PP to collect ingredients for... stuff. I don't go for PP because I battle Chaos to do that. I always use it on lunar whale or lower if training up.
