What do you call the Princess MOST, when refering to her?

Take a look. Doesnt' have to be a very hard or deep look into the image, but what is the first name that pops into your mind when given the choice between Garnet, and Dagger?

I personally refer to the main chick here as Garnet when talking about FFIX or her as a character in general. During the game it all depended on where at in the story I was. If it was after the name change I called her Dagger when speaking of her, but before that point, and even after I've finished the game, she's mainly "Garnet" to me.
 
I have always referred to her as Dagger since that is what they call her through most of the game. Though sometimes I call her Garnet.
 
I called her Dagger the first time I played, but after that I always named her Garnet. When I look at her picture, Garnet pops into my head. ^_^
 
I've always called her Garnet. I've never liked "Dagger". So, naturally, Garnet pops into my head.

Of course she has a better personality under the name Dagger, but Garnet suits her. ^_^
 
I went for Garnet but probably only because of the point in the game that that screenshot is from.
 
I perfer the name Garnet to Dagger but I change when I'm talkin' bout her
 
I dont mind either name... its sort of a switch for me... depending the situation that she is in... and Dagger is cool name though I changed it to Daggyr when I named her... heh XD
 
Garnet, of course. I really love that name. I'm thinking of naming one of my daughters that in the future. ^_^

Dagger doesn't really suit her. It's a weird name, I think...
 
i never got used to calling her dagger cause its a wierd name for a noble young princess to have. i just call her garnet
 
I prefer the name Garnet (it happens to be the name of my girlfriend ^_^) but i usually refer to the character as Dagger. I've never actually thought of keeping her name as Garnet during the game.
 
I hate the name 'Dagger' for her, but with it being said through most of the game, I can't help but use it in speech. Even when I rename her, I say to myself "but she's Dagger... waaaaaait."

I prefer the name Garnet though. Sounds regal in itself.
 
Yep, I agree with Saix almost completely on this one. Dagger isn't fitting at her. She's about a scary as a baby panda bear. lol I just don't see anything "sharp" or "lethal" about her at all. Garnet, in comparison, is a very pretty and regal sounding name. I think that name fits her character personally.

Side question, is her real name Garnet since she's from Madain Sari originally?

I didn't find out what her name was after playing it a few times. I'd never really bothered to get everything in the game until... my tenth play-through. :p

Suffice to say, I was severely disappointed with what it turned out to be.

That name's bland? >_< I actually wanted to change my real name to that...

But yeah, I also forgot about her real name until now. I've always viewed her as Garnet, and ONLY Garnet. Not some dagger.
