Dragonforce

Depends on my mood, they're fun sometimes, but I've heard Li isn't that great live, I wouldn't be if I had to solo that fast for 5 minutes.

I haven't heard as much as I would like to have a proper say on it, but what I have heard is quite fun stuff, yet I cant help but feel its not all too great. Sure the guitaring is fast and impressive but other than that its not exactly mindblowing as people tend to make out tbh. I however have seen a live performance and they failed on a rather large scale so meh.

Guys, bands even pop bands, dont get good live till ussually ten years down the road. There are exceptions(led zeppelin) but most bands wil blow live for along time. Unless your actually there, than its always awesome.

DragonForce's previous form, Demoniac (four members of Demoniac went on to form DragonHeart), was formed in 1993. While it was black metal for 1994's "Prepare For War," elements of what we now know as DragonForce surfaced on 1996's "Stormblade," and 1999's "The Fire and the Wind" brought a sound that was no different than DragonHeart, which had its name changed to DragonForce in 2001.

Boner! I love a couple of their songs to death... others though are just "meh". Like Fin said, it depends on my mood. I'm not always in the mood for somehting so... uh... over the top sometimes.

They are definitley one of my favorite bands. They may not be as mindblowing as say, Decapitated, but anyone who claims they are untalented is ridiculous.

Dragonforce is indeed pretty good for bustin' skulls to, but not exactly conducive to meditation or self reflection.

I like these guys alot...they have the energy and passion to their music that heavy metal has, but their lyrics and style are more friendly and unique. There isn't a band out there that you can truly compare them to, their style is so different.

I keep seeing this thing on youtube about a Dragonforce song being on Guitar Hero II on X-box. However, the song isn't on the playlist. What's up with that?

Dragonforce arent bad but loads of there songs sound exacly the same. For example, if you listen to "through the fire and flames" and then "operation ground and pound" straight after theres no difference! Also, where as there guitar solos kick ass the lyrics to there song kinda suck.

I agree with Tenshi. They have okay lyrics. Besides, that's not what metal and rock are about. It's about the sounds not the words. That's just my opinion though.
