Doctor Who

You're sick of Martha's voice? It's Donna's voice I never want to hear again!

I agree with Dr Roxo, it's time they let the old companions go, new ideas would be be better rather than bringing friends and/or enemies back yet again.

Eh, well, this is probably the send off that Davies has planned then. To be honest, I thought Donna sounded annoying at first, but she grew on me at the end of the second episode. She felt like a breath of fresh air. It's also been rumoured (and this is probably true, anyway) that Michelle Ryan is starring in one of the specials (maybe the Easter one) as a temporary companion to the Doctor.

I'll be annoyed if Rose turns up AGAIN. I thought her ending at the end of series 3 was PERFECT. It would be awful if she has to see Ten die D=

I'd love it if Donna came back, and was the companion for the new Doctor. I loved Donna, and I thought it was great that she wasn't in love with the Doctor like Rose and Martha were >_>

OMG! Thanks for the info. This is the perfect time, especially since I just started my Easter holidays. Look out for Michelle Ryan, she's going to be a temporary companion. Next Saturday, roll on with it! :wacky:

I just finished series 5 lol! Got it cheap on DVD and I was in tears on Journeys End. I loved Catherine Tate as the Doctors companion, Im just so uspet for the character of Donna. Not to sound corny, but I know how she felt with life and such.

Well, roll on next Saturday!! Knowing my luck Im going to miss it as Im working! DAMN!!

I quite enjoyed that special. Was expecting it to be a bit of a dissapointment as the trailer didn't really do it much justice.

Plus, Michelle Ryan is hot. :wacky:

Michelle Ryan really was hawt as a Laura Croft rip-off :wacky:

Not a bad episode. Next one looks a bit pants though but we'll see.

I thought it was an OK episode but not amazing - a C+ episode in my opinion. I liked Lee Evans but found Michelle Ryan's character a bit insufferable for a lot of it.

Some good laugh out loud moments though: "It's April", "Pizza Geronimo".

And though it's not quite as good as a flying DeLorean or steam train, a flying bus is still pretty good

Next special isn't until November or thereabouts - argh! :(

I actually liked the latest special better than the Christmas one. Michelle Ryan had me laughing quite a few times. You're right, she does look like a Lara Croft rip-off! That woman who can "see things" scared me with her voice to be honest ... and a flying bus was just the ticket needed. Lee Evans was hilarious, especially when he finally met the Doctor. It's a good old fun episode without the usual romance, everything Doctor Who is meant to be!

Michelle ryans voice annoyed me,...I liked her character but the accent just sounded to fake, I was getting marth flash backs, i really fucking hate her she cant act for shit D:

Anyway, thought it was a pretty good episode, although it didnt really have me gripped, and as much as I LOVE Lee Evans, his ''malcolms'' and ''bernards'' really didnt hit the funny bone, it felt like he had come out of a crappy cbeebies show, and god knows I watch enough of THAT bullshit...

I loved the woman eho saw things, and she gave me the chills when she was telling him his number was almost up, she was great.......and Im gunna HOWL when he regenerates .......maybe not as much as I howled when it was Christopher Eccleston though...... D:

"Without the usual romance" - was I dreaming the implied chemistry betwen the Doctor and Christina and her kissing him then?

What I meant by that was how assistants usually go gaga over him.

I also got some official news: Donna's grandfather - seen in the last series - will be joining the Doctor as a companion in the two-parter Christmas special.

Special was pretty good- the reason he gave for denying Lara Croft were weak as hell since we know he'll lose that hesitance next season anyways. Lara Croft might possibly make a good companion, but I'd like to see the UNIT scientist instead.

Got some news about one of the specials.

June Whitfield confirmed for 'Who' special

June Whitfield will star in this year's Doctor Who Christmas special, it has been announced.

The official Doctor Who magazine confirms that Whitfield will feature in David Tennant's final two-part adventure at the end of the year.

The Absolutely Fabulous actress is lined up to play a character called Minnie Hooper.

"This is another classic piece of casting from Andy Pyor and his team," said producer Tracie Simpson. "June is practically television royalty!"

She continued: "The entire crew's been having so much fun filming with her, and her presence gives the whole story that extra sparkle, just in time for Christmas."

David Harewood, who is currently appearing in Robin Hood, will also guest-star in the special episodes.

"We've been trying to lure David on to Doctor Who for some time," Simpson revealed. "Now, and at last, the dates fitted!"

BBC confirms Simm's 'Who' return

The BBC has confirmed that John Simm will reprise his role as the Master in David Tennant's final Doctor Who episodes this Christmas.

Simm had been spotted on the set during the recording of Tennant's finale and his return was announced at yesterday's Comic-Con convention in San Diego before being confirmed by the broadcaster.

The BBC said: "At the close of series three we saw the Master gunned down by his wife and whilst lying in his enemy's arms, he refused to regenerate.

"The world believed he had died and The Doctor accepted he was the last of the Time Lords. But this is Doctor Who and you can't keep a good bad guy down!"

Simm previously appeared as the Master in the Russell T. Davies-penned 'Utopia', 'The Sound Of Drums' and 'The Last Of The Time Lords'.

Tennant's past co-stars Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman and Catherine Tate have all been tipped to return for the actor's final episode, while Alex Kingston will appear during Matt Smith's tenure as the 11th Doctor.

So has anyone watched the latest special then?

Have to say that it's a much improved one from the Easter special. I thought it was very dark and gritty, even surprised that
the Doctor seemed to have a dark side
and
Adalaide shot herself in the end.
Simply CANNOT wait until End Of Time now! I'll definitely be counting the days down since
the Master, Donna and Wilf are back!

Yeah I know what you mean with the spoilers. When
David went all darkside it was scary and unnerving as you wouldnt think he would be able to go like that.
The next episode is going to be amazing.
Fact John Simm, the Master is back is totally awesome! And Rose is meant to be back aswell as Donna!

It was on last Sunday called The Waters of Mars. Very good and very dark. The final David Tennant episode is the xmas special. Not sure if its xmas day or before then. It'll be a good un, make sue you watch it!!
