Yesterday night I was watching a programme on TV about how much women have changed now and in which way they changed(good or bad) and why's that happening?

In fact that was men talk but anyone here can post his/her opinion here.I'm interested in knowing what you believe about this issue.

(No spam or flaming please)

Well if you compared it to the mid 20´s then yeah everyday we see more women in the work business...in fact there are more graduated women then men nowadays i believe!

So in terms of liberty women have changed for the better i believe!:)

Yeah, thanks to Emmeline Pankhurst and the Suffragette movement, women managed to recieve the right to vote. Plus more women in the work force, which made us stand as equals amongst men in the work place, although some people still believe women should remain at home and some women do think this.

Yeah a lot of neandertals (don´t think that´s the way you right it) still believe that!

Another thing that i have witnessed in the growing number of domestic violence cases were the victims are actually men!!!

Just about two months ago in my country they made a report and the news about the number of domestic violence cases were one guy told that his wife beat him up with a frying pan! But he was true ashamed to say anything:O

Women are getting stronger too!

Women seem to change their hair and dress styles every decade. A man has been able to look nice in a suit and with a combed over hair cut for centuries, but take a woman with styles as old as 30 years ago and she looks like she came out of a wax museum. It's ridiculous.

to tell you the truth, women are more superior to men in most cases.

Women are able to do the stuff men do.

Look at the military, more and more women sign up to prove they're tough and have what it takes to be a soldier.

Women are makor intimidators, they are even running a business.

My boss at work is a female:dry:

But it never hurts to see women outside of the house more now of days.:D
At the same time i don't, "predators" are out also and ready to "pounce" at a beautiful woman to take advantage of.

i would write more information but i won't give it all away, i want to let all you guys come up with the rest.

Feminist.:P

Yah, women have changed. It's harder to get into their pants when they're young. They aren't so curious anymore... I blame AIDS and STDs for this.

They're much more snappier, too. But I don't really mind.. I don't even feel like I've noticed.

I personally thin kwomen have changed for the better. They aren't supressed anymore or designated to housewife positions. Women are doing much better for themselves and that's a good thing.

I read a poem about a woman's role in society in class the other day.
It basically described what a woman's role was a hundred years ago.
And for sure, it has changed, but there are still some problems unresolved.
But yes, in most cases, women have improved in society a lot.

But as for women changing in their outlook, no.
It's just that now they're able to exercise their liberties freely compared to back then. No, they haven't changed, just their status.

Hmm...women are obviously more outspoken nowadays, but some women don't know how to be taken seriously. Plenty of men look down/talk down towards women for trying to make it to the top, but plenty of women give men a good reason to do that...
I think that things like falsely advertising yourself as a hooker at clubs, and acting like an airhead to gain attention kind of ruin your right to speak out about certain things.
I also think that women are the only group who should have any say-so in certain national debates such as abortion rights. But like I said in the above statement...some women completely demolish their own opportunities by making themselves out to be imbeciles.

I agree with that statement.
If you want to make it to the top, do so in an appropriate manner.
I'd like to say that a certain number of women have taken this 'liberty' thing to the extremes as in the case you described above. *No offense intended*

To me, men and women are equal, and if you make yourself to be....not equal, i.e. superior or something airheaded as that, then you're only making things worse.

There's nothing more I hate, other than hypocrites, than people who make themselves out to be something they're not. And yes, I agree with the abortion statement as well.
