what hte hell is cloud's ex burst name?
you have all been talking about but the name itself never came up once XD

- Odin and Iron Giant also confirmed as summons.

- Like I always suspected each character will have his battle theme, The one showing on the video is the Battle Theme from FFX. (Tidus Theme on Dissidia)

- The Villains have a different victory theme from the heroes.

LAST trailer will be up today, now we just need to wait for it.
 
I remember seeing the different victory theme from the Garland vs Warrior of Light battle video. I think the theme difference is a nice addition. :D

I'm also glad to hear that the theme changes for the same battlefield depending on who is battling who. Having the FFX battle theme play while fighting Tidus is a nice add, and helps give us even more nostalgic memories of old songs.
I can't wait to hear the battle tracks for the FF6, FF5, FF4, FF1, FF9, FF8 battle arenas. Gah.. I can't wait for them all to be honest.


EDIT. Ok, I checked FF Wikia again... and wandered over to the Ex-Burst page they have set up there. I wandered across what may be the closest translations of the official Ex-Burst names.

I'm sorry... But who could possible disagree that ExDeath's Ex-Burst sounds AWESOME and AMAZING :D.

"The Laws of the Universe mean Nothing!" = EPIC.

Also, thankfully it seems that Cloud's Ex-Burst is called Omnislash, as it should be... And NOT Supreme War God Super Hyper Decapitation or whatever it was that people were discussing on here. :D


Also.. On note on Ex-Modes... I don't know if its been stated before but I just read that when in Ex-Mode the characters are put on regen, and regain their health among other stat and move boosts. So it's a good way to turn the tide of a battle.

Not just that, but each character gains a new ability called "Ex-Bonus" when in Ex-Mode. I will try to find out something about it.

I've read that some characters have 2 Ex-Bursts. One for if you complete the sequence / button timing etc correctly and another for if you fail. The former being more powerful than the latter.

Kefka's 2 Ex-Bursts, for example, are Light of Judgement (strongest) and Forsaken (weaker).


Can't find where I read it, but it was definately on FF wikia somewhere.

lol. It's not Omnislash that sounds weird. I think you've probably read what we were discussing, but your mind has blocked it out as you couldn't possibly think it to be taken seriously as the name.

But we've been talking about what was stated as the name a few pages back. That is "Super Ultimate War God Supreme Decapitation" as the name for Clouds Ex-Burst. We thought THAT sounded weird.

But it seems it was just a joke, and not the actual name. :P

Although she isn't among them as a playable character at the start of the game, Shantotto is later on added to the roster as the eleventh warrior who is summoned by Cosmos.
Shantotto has been revealed as a guest character for Dissidia. Square-Enix has stated that even though she’s a secret character, she’s still part of the storyline, automatically appearing in the game once certain conditions are met. So in essence, her part in the game's storyline is completely optional if you avoid beating, or are unable to beat, the conditions needed to unlock her. Her Dissidia design is based off her original Final Fantasy XI in game design, and an alternate costume for her will feature her in Black Mage Artifact Armor. It's currently unknown if a villain from Final Fantasy XI will oppose her.

Some info on her fighting powers and Ex-Mode/Burst...
Shantotto fights by using magic, and her fighting style is called "Leveled-Up Magic"; the more Brave Points she has, the stronger her spells become. To be more precise, when gaining more brave points, her spells evolve. Example: Fire will evolve to Fira, then to Firaga over time. It's said that when she’s gained enough BP, she will even begin to cast "Ancient Magic", which are the strongest spells in Final Fantasy XI. Since she has a physical weapon, a staff, she may have some melee attacks. Her staff is either the "Dark Staff" or "Pluto's Staff", both very versatile level 51 weapons for any class in Final Fantasy XI. Her EX Mode is "Black Mage Relic Armor", a very rare and powerful set of armor from Final Fantasy XI. Her EX Burst is called Magic Burst (a spell cast at the end of a Skillchain, in FFXI) and some screenshots show her performing her iconic laugh after it's performed.

The villains that i unlocked so far are so slow ex death just walk can't run but jecht and sephiroth are the only good villains to play with.

Ex-Death will take a while to master. He's the most interesting in terms of playing him, it seems. I can't wait to play as him. He's slow, but he can teleport, and his guard abilities can make an experienced player invincible.
