Ok, so i've just gotten the Airship and brought all i could from the Synth Shop and Weaponsmaster at Daguerra.

My party's currently around L40-50.

What's the recommended Lv for the next questline zone?

Yes.

You'll be fine where you are. One of my favorite parts of FFIX is the fact that I never felt like I had to level grind to proceed the plot. As long as you've stayed faithful to learning abilities, you'll be ok at your current level.

:hmmm:

One time I beat IX at Level 69 and it was one of my best play throughs. All I focused on was building up all my skills whenever I got new equipment and the levels just came with it. In IX, the skills really determine the outcome over levels. I'd say, go through your inventory for all your characters and learn all the available skills you have. Should be good after that.

You're leveled up enough to take on the rest of the game mate, all you need is some good gear and abilites and you'll be alright.

However, if you do want to level up; the easiest source would be fighting Grand Dragons. You can either learn level 5 death with Quina and have a field day on them, or you can just outfit your team with some poison resistant abilities (antibody) and have either have auto-reflect (gained from Reflect Ring) or equip a coral ring to absorb thunder damage. This way the most damage he can do is KO one character at a time, giving you plenty of time to revive them with a spell or phoenix down.

Yeah, i might have to backtrack and buy more components to make more coral rings, i only have 2 at the moment, and all my characters already have "Antibody" so they're safe from poison.

hmmm well let's just say i completed FFIX the first time at Lv 50 - 55.... so you should be sweet for the rest of the game.... just remember to change ur weapons at that backwards place XD and just get equipment by buying or stealing and your be sweet to go :)

Yeah, you are just fine where you are at. The only thing I would suggest is learning everything you can, as quickly as you can (i.e friendly monsters). The rest of the game shouldn't be too difficult for you.

What's "friendly Monsters"?

Like, what does the ability do?

frienly monsters are the ones who ask you for ore and other gems. WHen you find them all they make the battle against one of the optional bosses easier.
Then you get to unlock the synth shop with the best weapons. (I think thats right?)

That, and they give good AP, so it makes learning abilities that much easier.

The first part is correct, the part about the synth shop is not (I think you have Ozma confused for Hades here.)

Friendly monsters are monsters that instead of attacking you, ask for a specific ore in return for a sizeable amount of AP. Their specific locations can be found at the link below.

:hmmm: Can you encounter these monsters multiple times?

:hmmm: Well i remember encountering The Ghost, The Yeti and the Ladybug as far as i remember....

there goes that idea for grinding :hmph:

I have no idea where to find diamonds, either for those damned Cats (Give 3AP for each kill.)

They steal the diamonds if you give it to them, don't bother. Oh I meant 6 AP after you get ability up (doubles the AP you get).

Ahh i see! hah that just made learning abilities so much easier!, Lol.

Never understood what Ability Up was xD
