I couldn't really get in to the story. Just seemed so long and drawn out. I know the justs of it though. The gameplay was amazing. I loved it. It was hard to get into at first, but once you get Fran and Balthier on your team, the game really picks up. The liscence board, weapons system, battle system, and all that was great. Cinematics were amazing of course. Only things I was disappointed in was the story line, and espers. ...Maybe myst in general. -shrugs- Amazing game though. I'm 80 hours in, and I'm right before slyt. I decided to take time and do some side quests.

considering just the storyline, I think it's pretty long...

add: Anyways, I think that It could be most extense, cause every "chapter" was too short or not too rich on story detail to play. Or maybe I could be just one chapter but with all those details left...but I think it's impossible xD

well the storyline was long it was as far away from short as it could been

I dont know about it being short... I stop and level, upgrade equipment, buy techs and magic...

I think the character development was really crappy! U didnt see into every character unlike FFX which was in my opinion the best and can only be beaten my FFVII Story (good gfx for the time but total crap for now a dayz)!!!! Hope they due a remake of FFVII

I can agree the character development wasn't as good as FFX but I don't think it was completely crappy. It was good on some levels but anyway I don't think that the game was too short if you took time to do every little thing in the game it could easily take over 120 hrs depending on how fast you did the side quests

As far as character development... In previous Final Fantasy games, I think leveling has been just plain rediculous. I think XII perfected it, in all honesty. 8, you leveled too fast, 7, much too slow... (from the little I played) 9, ehh.. about right actually, 10, much too slow also. I think XII was amazing as far as developing your character experience wise... But as far as the whole "sphere grid" and all that.. well I hated that so I won't go any further.

Yes this game was short and dull!
I could have beat it in under 20 hours if I wanted to.
Everything is so obvious. The sidequests are all BORING. I don't want to kill 394290348 different monsters. o_O

I think the length was just about right. I beat the final boss when I was hovering around the 80-hour mark, but I am known to leave my system on running fora few hours at a time. Right now with only Seer, Yiazmat, and Omega left to defeat I'm about 110 hours in, which is less than what I have logged in on FFX which is 190 hours.

Maybe a little too short, but yeah, I was so interested in the game, I just played it whenever I could to find out the plotline and find out how it ended.

I'm almost done with the game, and yes, for me it was too short. Erm, in fact, I think that the Final Fantasy PS2 games are shorter than the PS FF games.

Wow. o_O
I just think that there should have been more *required* things to do in the story line...to make the game last longer. ^_^

the storyline is way to short but there are side quests in this game a lot but still even with the side quests i find the game to short

I know, and that sucked. >_<
I wish they would have had some cool chocobo games., like in FFVII. lol.

end boss too easy

I didn't think the story was too short, but the ending came unexpectedly. The worst of the ending is the difficulty level. I was expecting quite a battle and to the last minute hoped he wasn't the final boss. With characters in low 50's I beat the judge and final boss with one hand in my nose and the other somewhere else (not @ the controller)

the game was short and easy

as long as you do side quests i dont think that this is a short game. you can easily get 150+ hours at it
