I like to play through just the story in the first attempt. I will do some optional things but I mainly like to get it completed then the next time I play through it, I will do the sidequests. I like a long story to keep me entertained but I thought this was over quite quick.
 
I think this game is long enough. Thee is so mch to do even after the main story. With my lifestyle, its taken me a few weeks just to get to 40 hours and im only lvl35 with all characters, and im not even close to done.
If this game were any longer, it would seriously take forever for me to finish.
 
i dont think its too short at all. ive clocked up 66hours and im only at the Pharos - 2nd ascent, and i havnt done many sidequest things at all.

FFX's storyline took me 24hours
FFIXs 45hours
FFVIIs 56hours
FFVIII Disk 3 - 22 hours
FFVI - 20 hours

So XII is the longest FF so far.
 
One thing before I vote - is the last option a bad thing? It seems to have a sarcastic tone to it.
 
i think the last option you can take it one of two ways :

1. it's sarcastic.
2. the games waaay too long :lol:
 
Yea, the sidequests were too long without just rewards...I mean some of them youd kill a tough boss and then get nothing

As for the storyline I think it was too short too, I was also sad when I saw it ending and I couldnt believe when I looked it up (around the temple before the final Cid fight) that I was so close to the end.

I think this was a result of them experimenting with alot more tweeks to the battle system though, and they werent sure how it would work out for the average person time wise. But I still think it was a wonderful game, I just can't believe its over

I think the story is very short (comparing with the others), however, if we want to acomplish all the mob hunts and find all the espers, the game gets a lot bigger (mainly because u need to raise a lot the level of your characters). Guess i was expecting more of this ff...but it is a great game no doubt about it.
