In the later stages of the game, did you go back to the temples and speak to the Fayths?

I left it a little too late so had to get past Dark Shiva and Dark Valefor, but managed it.

I like what Shiva says the best, I think her words made the end of the game
when Tidus goes into that sea and sort've high fives Jecht
make more sense to me.

I did yeah, but I can't really remember what they said, I think I was heading back for items I'd missed and discovered you could speak to them again

Wait, you can still go back even after deafeating Dark Shiva? I thought straight afterwards you got chased out by Guados...

Hmmm. I think I know what you're talking about but I'm a little confised. What do you mean talk to them? I'm nearly sure they don't say anything when you beat dark aeons. Or are you talking about after you defeat them, going back to the chambers of the fayth themselves?

Yeah the Guado will chase you. Just leave the area and go somewhere else, then comeback later on, should be able to get in then. As far as I can remember anyways, been a while.

Actually going back to the chamber of the fayth in each temple, the fayth will have a chat with ya..

You can do it without fighting the Dark Aeons, but I kinda left it a little late, so on my way back to Besaid I ran into Dark Valefor, same with Macalania Temple, I ran into Dark Shiva.

If you go back earlier then the Dark Aeons can be avoided I think.

Aren't there two chests in each fayth's room? I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure that was the only reason I ever went back.

dont the fayth's give you items when you go back and talk to them i think they did i cant quite remeber since i havent played in a while

Yeah there's chests in the chambers, some have 2, some have 3, others have 4, I think the only one that doesn't have one is Yojimbo's.

I'd forgotten you could have a conversation with each Fayth, actually. xD On at least two occasions I'd gone and spoken to them and obtained the items, but I'm guessing they're not that good? I'd have probably gone there during other save files to open the chests if they were.

I went back and saw them while getting the treasures in the trials so I could get Anima. They don't really say all that much, but it was nice to get the treasures.

For some reason, I wasn't able to speak with Shiva, though. -_- I went through that trial about three times and I still wasn't able to find her. Not sure how I could've missed it.

I never really listened to them...I just did it for the spheres. :gasp:

But it was like, use us to defeat Sin, so we can stop dreaming and such.

If you went back to do the destruction sphere in the Macalania Temple, then all the spheres get abit muddled up when going for the destruction sphere, so you have to re-order all the spheres again to make all parts of the bridge appear, then just run accross.

I managed to go back to a few of the temples but Dark Shiva was a major pain so I didn't go back to Macalania. Dark Valefor had no chance in halting my progress back to Besaid, though. :P

Most of what the Fayth had to say wasn't majorly important, I just wanted the items.

I made sure to go back for all of them. (Although I'm not really sure.. I have a feeling I missed one.)

For the items as well. But I did enjoy listening to Anima's fayth.

Yeah I did, I went back to all of them I think and got the treasures and heard they're boring lecture which I already knew. lol But I think that one is still inaccessible the Macalania temple aren't the guards there still pissed with you afterwards?

I didn't think you could go back to Macalania temple, seeing as it ends up at the bottom of the lake. :wacky:

On my first play through, I found out about Anima and so went back to Besaid ... my arse was promptly handed back to me and my patience was tested trying to level up ... so, for the sake of getting Anima, I started again, so I didn't have to get into fighting the Dark Aeons. :wacky:

Managed to beat Dark Shiva today (this is my latest playthrough) and I must say, she's easier than last time thanks to Auto-Haste, Auto-Phoenix, Auto-Protect and Ribbon. My stats weren't high at all, and the characters I used were Tidus, Wakka and Auron, all of which had 9999 HP (Yes I know Yuna/Rikku should be subsituted for Auron, but I wanted a challenge....plus, BHPL armour sucks)

So, I started off by using Luck and Aim 3 times each. (None of my stats were in the 200s, so I had to act accordingly) After buffing my party up, I procceded into using Quick Hit until her Overdrive gauge was full, then switch in Yuna to summon an Aeon. This blocked Diamond Dust....however, her stats are as she started, so I had to finish Shiva off before her next Overdrive otherwise I wouldn;t be able to use an Aeon to block. As it happened, I manged to defeat her despite lacking a BDL weapon for Wakka. (which means Attack Reel deals a maximum of 119988 damage)

I don't remember Macalania Temple ending up under the lake - it already is. At any rate, most of the Fayth just state that Tidus will dissappear once Yu Yevon is gone.....but what baffles me is why the rest of the party don't ask Tidus what the Fayth mean by this - they're clearly looking and talking directly to Tidus....

I find what Shiva says more interesting than others because of the part where
she says something along the lines of "swim in the eternal sea" or whatever it was, that explained to me the ending of the game where Tidus dives off the airship and see's Auron and then Jecht. Also in the perfect end of FFX2, where you see him wake up underwater
