When I first played FF12 back in January I started feeling nauseous. I dunno why either o_O Could it be from how realistic the images are, or the colors?

I only bought the game Today. I'll see. But from tha cover of it... I didn't even wanna read what tha story is about. I said no to Ice cream when my friend asked me if I want some... ICE CREAM!!!

I didn't feel sick, i felt hungry cause of ashe ^_^
Well anyway why would you feel sick? Unless you are sick from food poisoning or something

Maybe you have some sort of epilepsy that made you ill? with all the flashing colors from the opening movie i wouldn't be surprised....

It didn't make me ill though - i loved it ^_^

Uhm...well if you read the packaging on most videogames, it does indicate that playing can result in dizziness or siezures. o_O

Sick? no.

Although I did feel mildly sick because of how much final fantasy had changed.
In short, I don't like this game very much.

lol Timblez. Agreed.

I didn't feel sick, I didnt approve of the game. I am a fanatic FF fan and I wouldnt class this as a great game.

Ive played it quite a few times now and Ive not once felt sick. Maybe its something you ate. Has it occured since? And theres no need for the doctor. I get nauseous sometimes, just drink some water, have a lie down and keep some painkillers round.

My mom has vertigo. It could be possible that you might have that since playing video games for such a long period of time can have that effects on people. Make sure you take breaks after a couple of hours into the game. I know I've fallen asleep when playing games before...might be due to dizziness, but I really don't know.

Another thing to consider is that the colors used in FFXII are rather bland. Lots of yellow coz' of the desert. =/ So maybe that could be the case. I know that looking at such colors can make someone feel sick. =/

Yeah, that seems logical to me. Thank you, Mitsuki ^_^

I never got sick from playing any video game. However, it would seem as though the more realistic things got, the more at ease you would be playing it, from your stomach's perspective anyways.

For a while I was hooked on FFX. After playing that, along with many other games with fair to high graphics, I decided to play FFVII again. Well, it had been at least a year since I last played it, and despite the fact that VII had graphics that I believe far surpassed anything of it's time...

...well, to be frank, it was choppy. And that lack of fluid motion that I had been getting used to really got to me. I had difficulty following the characters, my vision seemed blurred, everything seemed sort of fuzzy, and all of that was started to screw with my head. It was like watching the cartoon movie of the Lord of The Rings (if you've seen it you'll know what I'm talking about). Nothing seems to flow nicely together and it took me at least an hour to readjust.

After that it was all golden.

So, I don't know why you would be feeling sick from a game that has better graphics.

On the other hand, I had a real problem with FFXII as far as the graphics went. You see, in real life, not everything is colorful and juxtaposed, but the high level of detail counteracts that, and thus things have depth, they stick out from one another, and so on and so forth. Even with intense graphics engines and amazing attention to detail, no game on the market could possibly keep up, and therefore they need to use juxtaposed, highly contrasted colors, in order to keep everything visually appealing.

To make it simple, I lost sight of my characters on more than one occasion. They just blended in with the background, or with the enemies, or both. It wasn't an issue when the characters were, say, outside, or in most cities. But in a few places with dark rooms, or grey stone corridors, I could have used a few unnatural colors around to determine what was going on.

I don't know of anyone else who really complained about that, so it might just be me for all I know. However, I can't imagine that it is. There's something about some of these newer games that try to get too realistic that just end up making everything blend together.

Hmmm, perhaps my problem is opposite to your's, OmniscientOnus. You see, before I play FF12, I was really hooked on the older games like FF7 and FF8. Then suddenly I felt like playing FF12, and I felt sick. I'm not sure what it could really be, since I have a disease in my digestive system. All the answers everyone has stated seem so possible it's hard to tell what my problem is... vbmenu_register("postmenu_144257", true);
