I have an issue.

I'm on ebay looking to buy Devil May Cry 3 and I come across two versions that are slightly different, but both are the same price.

One is a special edition one with a bonus disc and has a different image on the front:

The other is the normal version with a bonus disc and has a different image on front:

My only thing here really is the image. :gonk: I know that's silly, but I really like the second version because it's such a sexy image. >.<

I just need another opinion before I buy this. >.<

The special edition has a bit more than the original such as

A new playable character
A new mode so you can recover at the same spot where you died instead of restarting at your last checkpoint (provided that you have the item)

There's a bunch more but thats all i can remember off the top of my head. Been awhile since i played either version, that and the special edtion is cheaper than the original one.

That is true about it being cheaper, but it's only a dollar difference on ebay. =P

I didn't know all that about the special edition though. Thanks for the heads up. It's really making me lean towards the special edition more.

Why oh why couldn't they just put a sexy image on it though like the second version. :gonk:

[Moved to Rocket Town]

Okay I've moved this over to the Rocket Town section as I do want a few more opinions on this and I don't think it's going to be seen hiding in the Lobby.

To those who have played both, is the Special edition worth it? Or should I just go with the original version?

If you got the original version, you'll be itching to buy Special Edition after (or even before) completing it. Being able to play as Vergil is a hugely rewarding experience - especially so if you've already played DMC1.

Vergil is probably a little overpowered in comparison to Dante but lacks Dante's versatility in combat, though going through the game is fun with both characters.

SE is actually, for the most part, identical to the original so you'd be a fool for not getting it tbh. xD

Yes go for the SE. The most noteworthy things about it is that Vergil is playable in this version and the difficulty was decreased by a bit, though you can change it back to normal by playing on hard mode. There is also a new boss fight as well in this version. Considering that the game should not be much more than the original game, I see no reason not to buy this version.

Thanks for all your advice guys!

I actually had no idea what the Special Edition was about until I read your posts, so you've been most helpful.

I was nearly going to just go with the original, but I've decided against it.

After much debate, I have decided to buy both.

I know it's silly, but I really am in love with the original cover and it's cheap anyway and I have money to burn it seems so I shall buy both. >.<

Thanks again guys! I would have only got the original if it weren't for you. >.<
