Hey everyone! This is a fanclub for Hollywood's most amazing, versatile, humble and sexy actor, Johnny Depp! Girls and guys alike can join here to either swoon over how amazing this man is when it comes to roles in his films. Or fangirls can come in here to drool over how positively sexy this man is :P He's gone from starring in major hit movies like the newest Sweeney Todd as Benjamin Barker, from Pirates of the Caribbean as Captain Jack Sparrow, to Gilbert in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, from smaller roles like Roux in Chocolat or Cesar in The Man Who Cried. Each character he plays is so different, so new and so fresh from the last that he always brings something amazing to the screen. Not only is he an actor, but Johnny is also a musician. I'll join. =) I haven't really noticed him until recently, when he played as Jack Sparrow. I think the last time I saw him in a movie was Sleepy Hollow, and that was several years ago. Then I finally saw Pirates of the Caribbean last year, so I'm kinda new to the whole "Omg, I love Johnny Depp!" xD

Nevertheless, he's an amazing actor, indeed. I heard that out of the roles he's played so far, Jack Sparrow is his most personal favorite. It was a fun and interesting character, indeed.
 
I first saw him in Edward Scissorhands, but I didn't know it was him at first. The first film I noticed he was in was probably Sleepy Hallow, and then after that From Hell.
 
Yay! I'm glad you guys joined! I first saw him Edward Scissorhands as well and I've followed him pretty much since then. He's always been my absolute favorite actor. Yes, the guy is very good looking but I'm not one of those squeeing fangirls who freaks out over his good looks. I think the guy is amazingly talented, I admire him for what he does, he doesn't 'milk' the whole Hollywood image and go LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! or mope and turn emo if he doesn't win an Oscar. He also donates to the children's hospitals and runs a group called Johnny's Angels for these children. He's very humble, versatile and I respect him so much for that. He's an inspiration not only as an actor but as a parent as well. Though I love his movies. I just recently watched one called Arizona Dream. It's an international film but completely American. The guy is just wonderful. I just don't know what my favorite movie of his is, really. Oh! I used to watch him in 21 Jump Street back when I was a kid. I didn't really know him as well until after I saw Edward Scissorhands.
 
I'll definitely join this one! Ever since the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, I've regarded Depp as the best actor currently doing work...maybe ever.

I started looking into some of his other films, and he's equally impressive in mostly all of 'em. Gotta love the dude.
 
Welcome to the club, VoN! You should check out Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Cry-Baby (hysterical film!) Arizona Dream and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I'd say those are a few of my personal favorites. Oh! And Finding Neverland, though that film made me cry so much.

I wanna join :O! I've been a fan of Depp since Donnie Basco, funny movie :P. Come to think of it, Johnny Depp has played almost any kind of character. A Gangster, Pirate, Crazy Barber, A crazy writer, he's even done voice overs for cartoons and such -_-.

I wanna make a Sweeney Todd sig, but I have to wait for them to release a HD disc of the movie before I can D:
 
Welcome, Savvy ^_^ Why do you have to wait? You can find a ton of Sweeney screenshots online that are really nice and HD. Just use those until the DVD comes out.

So anyway, did anybody ever watch the late 1980s early 1990s TV show called 21 Jump Street? It's the show that basically got Johnny on his feet and into his acting career and where he's at today. It's an awesome show. Johnny Depp plays an undercover cop named Officer Tom Hanson. You can find it on YouTube if you wanna see it. If you just type in 21 Jump Street Pilot you should come up with the first two episodes somewhere. Anyway, the show is really good. It's about this team of cops who work undercover at high school to basically bust the bad kids or protect other kids. Kids who bring guns to school, kids who're selling drugs, etc...it's a damn good show. Full of comedy, full of suspense, some romance and drama as well. I used to watch it when I was younger, but just recently started watching it again and got back into it. My hubby got me the DVD box collection. It really is an awesome show.
