Ryner Lute is a lazy student of Roland Empire Royal Magician's school. One day, Roland Empire goes to war against a neighboring country Estabul, and he lost his classmates in the battle. After the war, Lute sets out for a journey to search the relics of a "Legendary Hero" at Emperor Sion Astal's command. And he finds out that a deadly curse is spreading through the continent.

I started to watch this series a while back, as it's still airing, tbqh I didn't like the beginning of this anime but until it reached episode 3, I was really hooked up, it began developing more and more, adding more mysteries, keeping you more entertained.

About the summary, I'm not really sure about the whole "deadly curse" spreading and what not. I haven't seen anything of the like.

The characters, soundtracks and storyline are all magnificent, in my opinion.

I really recommend people watching it, if they still didn't or hesitating to do so.

(Btw, it's based on a light novel and not a manga, there is a manga being published though)

Romance, not really. As it's an adaptation of the first part of the novel, there are no obvious romance, but there are only hints.

@Galaxy: I doubt it's on Youtube at least not in a way where you can watch it properly. xD

Yep, it's more like that. I think the only parts on youtube available are probably the ones with Spanich subtitles. Also I wouldn't suggest watching it on youtube because the same anime has a dark theme around it so with low quality you might not even see some of the stuff. (watched it in low quality and HD)

I think Veoh might have it, I never checked since Veoh has my country blocked. xD

I hope i don't get warned for this but there's a website i always goto to watch my anime, it's animefreaks.tv it holds almost every popular anime out in full episodes, none of that youtube part 1/3 shit. It has this anime aswell.

I saw the first 2 episodes of this anime by the way, too confusing for me, from what i gathered, some dude possessed another guy who was the best friend of the demon with no friends or whatever, but that was as much of the plot as i could understand, lol.

It only gets better at Episode 3. =P Yea the plot is confusing as this is off the first novel, the other 2 parts of the novel explains the story, though those needs to be animated. D:

I will explain it a bit. There's the Mad Hero (Fallen Black Hero) who went mad and wanted to destroy the world, however the goddesses (They are not good as you think) sealed him in the southern part of the continent (Roland), however in order to get more power he devoured half of the Lonely Demon, the Lonely demon had no friends he always wanted to make friends so for the Fallen Black Hero, he was willing to sacrifice half of himself for his first friend.

It's some complex stuff, though, that's what's interesting about it, it gets you so much confused that you want to know more and more. I love things like that.
