Did anyone beat the 1st battle vs Demon Wall?

I did yesterday and man I almost got a headache of it =o, I failed 3 times but my 4th try was bingo with a lvl 19 party with 3 of them having quickenings. I had quite some luck with quickenings managed to chain them quite well, I should have bought more Ethers tho, only had 3 so I couldnt replenisch the MP gauges anymore for more quickenings =p. I just berserked Vossler + Basch to do the other damage but man the time's rlly short to kill him and his Telega spell takes so much time to load =(. Didnt cast any magic tho, I relied on my 30 Hi-potions i ha din stock, good move cuz he hardly does any damage. Argyle Armlets were rlly needed tho.

Well I got it now and I found some jewel in that place but no idea what to do with it since when you approach it it doesnt do anything =(.
 
Is that the wall when you can choose to fight or run and if you choose to fight you only have a certain amount of time?
 
Yes, that one.

I was only able to beat it with level 1 quickenings. (Yes, you heard me: I didn't have quickenings even after I beat Belias.)
 
I manged to beat him at lv 15 or so with quickenings and he was quite easy ^_^
 
My characters were around level 16ish and all had quickenings. I defeated it using this method; Begin by stealing from Demon Wall, then use quickenings. Got my chain up to 9 all on level one quickenings. When the quickenings were over I would switch out 1 party member and use a quickening again. Repeat until everyone used all mist points, and then use ether on one character to use quickening again. I thought it was the toughest of the demon walls because of the short amount of time you have to defeat it.
 
yeah i was much too stubborn to run away and i beat him at around level 17 without quickenings, but only cause at the time i didnt understand how quickenings functioned. silly me :P

I didn't try taking it on during my first play-through, because I assumed it'd be somewhat challenging. I had to face the second, so I was alright with that. I later tried taking on the Demon Wall on another play-through, to little avail... I guess I just wasn't strong enough.

The jewel on the wall is a switch which unlocks 2 secret paths that leads to a decent sword called the Demonsbane.
 
Well my first time through I didn't have the quickenings down yet and got pwn'd about 6 times. Finally I gave up (fater getting mad) and proceded on-ward. I later (like three levels up) came back and pounded that fool. But I never used a quickening to beat him.
 
I beat him 2nd try. First one I could have beaten him, but he crushed us against the wall since I ran out of time.
Second time, I just Quickening-ed him... got a nice chain and he went down.
 
For me? I skipped the first one. I can never manage to beat him my first go around. I hated using those "torches" to slow him down because I didn't know which one did what. =/.

It took me several tries to beat the 2nd deamon wall.
 
He killed me about four times before I finally managed to beat him. I berserked Basch and then managed to get a good quickening chain and he went down. After that, the second wall was a piece of cake.
 
I thought I was strong enough to take on the 1st one after I beat the required one in like 20 seconds, but alas, it booted me in the ass within 10 seconds.

I leveled up, came back via Teleport Crystal, and whooped ass.
 
Well obviously since it is optional and it guards a sword which is overpowered at that point in the game
 
yep, well the 1st demon wall encounter is an easy boss if there wasnt a time limit obviously but the 2nd one was dead in less than a minute, his biggest weakness being not having reflect unlike the 1st one and ofc his HP which is lower than the 1st one. You can just Aero him to smithereens :p.

I found the demonsbane sword thx to this-is-it who sent me a PM =)
 
I didn't use magic at that point which is why it took me a minute to beat him. I had cure and cura and that's about it. Guns help out alot. ;)
