Because it appears that several theme uploads were done. Causing several dupes of things. The game needs to retrieved from backup. More than likely, the chmod settings will need to be fixed again.

Just to let you guys know - the dupes problem was taken care of earlier :)

Thank you, Decado. But it appears that everybodys' character is reset. Oh well.

The game itself looks good though.

I may have to do what I did at IPB Gaming and have people give me their former stats. I give them their attributes and skill points and they add them. It will be a bit hectic. I will have to give people gil too.

Maybe we should take a vote on it. It might give us directors a breather while people are trying to get back to their former selves.

If i may make a suggestion;

A good way to help mitigatte the complaints, is to turn the new RPG into a "competition", set goals for people - First person to reach X level, or to beat X boss, gets a unique piece of equipment.

The hard core players, the ones who would have been most annoyed, will have something new to aim for now, and be less likely to complain.

Just my 2 cents ^.^

Ya, I don't see a problem here. Really, if we keep it reset, then it gives people a fresh start.... How was is reset anyways?

A backup recovery needed to be done. I guess the characters profiles was not in the backup. But enough about that, we need to think up good rewards.

Noticed another blip. It appears that all the books are missing.

That sucks =\ Has anyone put it on the forums that the characters were reset, or what are we going to do?

I have already made a general announcement. I believe we are going to follow Decado's idea. The real pain is going to be leveling the spells again.

I suppose we should check over everything. If you read this JA, lets try to get an MSN convo going.

Since there are so many issues, I suggest opening the game in pieces, as we did before. So the fixes are not so overwelming. I may decide to do some changes with the stores anyway.

Maybe we should divide warriors and mages from the very beginning and chose which spells suit just mages, warriors or both.

Can't we stick to this plan instead? >.> Well, I was actually thinking that you guys can ask what level they were, or at least those you trust enough and who actually knows what level they were. I'm sure they all knew...it's not that hard. Anyway, from there, you can give the attribute and skill points according to their level. For instance, I was level 79. 79 x 5 = 395 attribute points. (Same process for skill points).

Then leave it up for the members to modify their characters again. I mean, they would end up doing that anyway but the only big difference is that this way, we don't actually have to restart the whole game. We can just use the attribute points you'll give us and work with that...

Yeah, this is just me trying to find another way and excuse to play the game again without actually doing it all over again. >.>

I was going to do that. But Decado came up with the reward idea. This way you could get a special reward, you would not of had otherwise. It would make things a lot easier on us as well. I have done the giving stats back thing. It becomes quite tedious and your character is not what it could be if you just started from the beginning.

Well Koloth, I have been talking with alot of people, and they are saying they don't want to play again because they put all that effort into it and now all there work is done, so they aren't playing again. I'm thinking maybe we should make a poll... to see who wants the reward way, and who wants the stats way. For the stats, just do what Mitsuki said, and x there lvl by 5. I know that people will be honest, and i remember some lvls that they were at before.

Unfortunately, there is no way to give spell experience back. Also the skill point levels won't be the same because of the aquired experience is gone.
