This is a new film that's coming out starting from this week across everywhere. Basically, it's about a world where almost everyone is a vampire and the humans are trying to reclaim their world again.

What really struck me with these trailers was how they cleverly inserted Running Up That Hill by Placebo.

Oh wow that looks awesome!

Was kinda scary seeing the humans in those freaky chambers getting the blood sucked out of them like animals. <_<

I love 'Running up that Hill' by Placebo!

I hope the humans defeat them! I am so going to watch this. >.<

The annoying thing about this is how good the cast is - Hugo Weaving, Liam Neeson and Willem Dafoe are all really really good actors. And yet it doesn't look like they've managed to save a poor film. To me it just looks like an overly-epic piece of cinema that we've all seen countless times before. I'm not expecting to be blown away by something new and innovative.

Im going to see this as its a vamp film that isnt, as far as I know, based on anything. I mean you have Nightwatch, Interview with a Vampire, Blade, Twilight all based on books. So makes a nice change. I like the cast list and its a defo must see for me.

I ended up seeing it, and to be honest it was pretty much what I expected. I was lied to about the whole Liam Neeson and Hugo Weaving thing, but I did like Sam Neill in it.
The general idea of a vampire society after the outbreak was really good, I thought. Most vampire films just concentrate on the epic struggle of humans being hunted by vampires and trying to survive, so it was good to see something different. But the script was quite poor, I think they could have made a lot more of it. And it was pretty annoying that they ended it in the exact same was as I Am Legend and begging for a sequel.

We went to see it last night and it was pretty good.

Not as good as I had hoped and I hated that actress that played alongside Ethan Hawke. She could not act in my opinion. She did shit in Aussie T.V so why they gave her this role is beyond me.

Anyway, I really like Ethan Hawke in this role. He played it well.

The idea of the vampires being deprived of blood was different. In most vampire movies there's more humans than vampires.

Sam Niell played the evil guy pretty well.
I like the way they used they used sunlight as a cure as well.
