Dark Cloud Series

i like this game i rate it a 5 out of 5 it is almost as good a the good final fantasy games
 
I actually like this game, but I never finished the first one. I don't know why. I suppose I got so busy back then and now I just don't have time to play it because I'm extra busy with work and such. Besides, I have new games that I still have to play and finish.

I'll get around playing Dark Cloud again, eventually. I just don't know when though. I lost the memory card that my files were in, so that means I have to start all over again. I really enjoyed building the cities though. I thought it was a very unique and creative idea. Not much of a storyline though, but that's okay.
 
Ah, love it! ^_^ I love the system of building your town, and putting all the things in specific places to make things happen.

I really hate Dark Cloud 1, right now though. I'm trying to beat the Dark Genie and I just can't... get him. XDDD I'm tryin' to beat 2, although my Memory Card got erased, so I had to start over.
 
Eh, DC2 has more of a storyline and a LOT more freedom in building. I'm currently trying to complete DC1 (I'm in the Demon Tower at the moment) and I'm trying to beat DC2. My lil sis accidentally overwrote my file and I had to get allllll the way back to the Moon Flower Palace.>_<
 
i really enjoyed both dark cloud and dark cloud 2. the first dark cloud was a little better in my opinion although the second one has a lot more mini games and freedom in building the towns.

dark cloud is still one of my all time favorites. i like the storyline and the characters and all of the dungeons, building up the weapons is the best though.

What I did was I had Xiao (the neko) level up her Super Steve :-)D) slingshot, making sure that each elemental attribute was high. Unless I'm thinking the wrong battle, the glowing color that shows up represents which element is most effective against him at the time. I just switched Super Steve's elemental attribute to whichever one is active and attacked with that.

...speaking of Steve and Super Steve...anyone else (who's played DC1) like that slingshot?
 
the sling shot was a good weapon, but my favorite weapon is the sword . i always like playing games when one of the main weapons is the sword. that is what i powered up the most, it was fun just maxing it out
 
Speaking of weapons, I loved the leveling system they had. ^_^ The second game seemed a lot more flexible about the weapons than the first one. Must be my liking of creating and experimenting with stuff, but so far, it's one of my favorite leveling systems of any game.
 
I played the demo of the first Dark Cloud waaaaay back and loved it, one of the few PS2 titles to actually impress me at the time. But unfortuantly being a studat I don't have much money to spend on games and for one reason or another I've never gotten round to picking it up. Will definitly have to soon tho.
