That's because they are both about the son of the devil, but Damien is a child on earth killing people, little nicky is about a weakling ugly son of the devil stopping his brothers killing everyone. Little Nicky is funny, and The Omen is supposed to be scary.

It's not particularly scary. At all. It's just one of those "dark thrillers" sort of film. With a bit of blood. Which for some reason reminds me that I still haven't watched the alternate ending on the DVD.
