Dalmaska:Kingdom Of Light Rp

Alumar nodded to the remark about continuing along the mutual path.
Many thoughts spanned through his mind, some relevant to the matter at hand, some completely off the chart.
Alumar often had his mind wander, he was now walking side by side with the ‘mobilizer of ceremonial equipment’, and on his back hung a Grand spirit of the elements. Depending on how the relationship between the two, or rather the three of them, were to form, he might opt for a sparring match later on, as he wanted to know what a spirits of the elements were capable of. Or perhaps it as more of a self test than anything, here walked Alumar Loren, a human that had managed to learn a massive amount of spells, not to mention his enormous amount of energy though there was still one major thing on his mind that he have come to think of for the last millennia’s.
Humans live short and eventful lives; this is a natural thing due to their rough lifespan of 80 to 90 years, this is balanced with their grasp of time. Alumar was different, due to his curiosity he ended up gaining a much longer life, one that is closing to 4000 years, humans are not supposed to live for that long, so naturally Alumar’s grasp of time were completely off.

“Well-“ Alumar stated as a grin grew on his face that he tilted towards his much shorter companion. “-you did not answer my question, let us start there.” He stated with a tone that if nothing else suggested he was enjoying himself slightly.

As Stefan returned to the tavern something seemed a little off.His client wasnt in there but another man about his age maybe older was standing in front of the tavern and looked his way.

"Your Stefan Berius my father told me about sorry he couldnt come he got sick from a disease that has been spreading around this part of town."The boy said.

Stefan nodded and gave the sword to the kid and he toke it wide eyed."Wow you killed him your going to have some rogues pissed off at you."The kid said.

"I am used to it."Stefan shrugged.

The kid nodded."Oh I forgot to introduce myself my name is Cornileus."The kid said.

Stefan nodded."Nice to meet you Cornileus."

Cornileus nodded."Well I must be off nice to meet you too Stefan Berius."He said before running off to his house.

Stefan decided to get a few supplies before going home.

Re nodded, the company was nice and an intellectual conversation was nicer.

"Your manner and the way you do things is what gave away your age. A person who has achieved an older age has what you would be able to cool, perfect movements, they have that long to learn about there body that they move in a different more graceful way to a normal person just because they have had that experience", Re explained calmly. "Additionally, what makes you interesting is that our abilities are similar in a way, we use different means to achieve the same end so that results in my wanting to learn about your ways to improve booth of our end results. In that manner I think you want to do the same, learn about me to improve your own abilities", Re finished with a light nod.

"Hmm, I think you should explain your Pillar now Re", Behemoth said from his white bear from next to Re.

"Ah yes, this item on my back is how I got my name, it was an object created in a similar fashion to myself. It is called the pillar of Ceremonies, it consists of seven pieces, the central staff and the six cylinder sections that make up the array. Any elemental or spiritual magic used inside this array is amplified greatly. I can say use a move that would consume a good one hundred times the energy I have inside it but instead of that it would cost me little to no energy at all", Re explained as he walked calmly. "I am interested to see if you abilities gets amplified inside the array, that will be something we will have to try out before we part ways", Re concluded.

Alumar let out a loud laugh, whereas Re’s words had plenty of logic in it he had never been called graceful in any ways before.
Though he laughed, he tried his best not to interrupt the ‘kid’ by his side, after all; he had some interesting ways of looking at things, much like Alumar’s thought less ‘clouded’ by feelings.

As Re went on, he detailed how the powers, whereas the result is similar, the way it is obtained is vastly different.
“The thing here is, it seems that you are lent the energy from the spirits, or elements if you wish, whereas I rely only on my own life force.” As he completed that sentence, a grin formed. “Perhaps you can teach me to borrow energy from my surroundings in addition to mix it with my own” this would effectively give Alumar a much larger energy base. Whereas his was already more that humans could ever achieve by themselves in their below 100 year lifespan, he urged for more power, and more energy would allow him to use more power.

The white bear or rather the one in the form of a white bear beside him told Re to detail his pillar. As Re did as he was asked, detailing the rough workings of his ‘weapon’, Alumar stopped in his tracks as a series of ‘events’ also called ideas formed in his eyes, a grin a kin to what a person could get as a sinister idea was formed alongside the promise of the greatest gift, would have.
He started walking again, wondering how the effect would react to a Casus of the highest level. If it worked on Alumar at all, he could use all his energy as Casus normally took at max, but end up with a spell of ten times the strength, and considering Casus’ power, that was a semi scary thought even for Alumar.

As they kept walking, he felt that he should detail his own ‘magical weapon’, though this feeling made him image the man in blue from earlier. He let out a chuckle as he stretched his right hand towards the sky.
A flash of dim whitish light later revealed a 180cm tall staff seemingly of metal.
As he brought the staff down to a comfortable carrying position, one could not see its full appearance. On the top of the staff it changes shape, the head that is mounted on top of it has a Equilateral triangle shape that has a more rounded feel to the long sides and the tip that is pointing up has a ‘pinch’ to it.
In the center of this triangle floats the staff’s orb, it is perfectly spherical and has a dim red color to it. The orb itself hung there by nothing, no wires or other holders, it was as if it was floating in the center of the triangle shape.

“This is my staff, whereas it might not be as effective as your pillar, it can enhance my power by the cost of a slight up in the energy drain” he grinned, he had known this Re for what, 5 minutes now? And he was already disclosing information like this. Holding it at a comfortable level for a little while longer so that Re could inspect it if he wished, though not touch it, Alumar hated allowing others to even touch it, perhaps this was a side effect from having it created of his own life-force. After having it in his hand for a minute or so, he simply threw the whole thing into the air, and it disappeared in the same flash from where it came.

“My staff is for me only, though if your pillar thing allows others to tap its power, I wonder if it works on me as well, also how it will work alongside an amplification spell and the usage of my own staff” he grinned widely as he suggested this, if all of this worked alongside each other, a wizard of Alumar’s level could easily destroy worlds, so due to this if he ever got the chance he would only use minor spells to be safe. Where was the fun in destroying the plant they were on?
“If you teach me, and perhaps allow me to test out a few things with your Pillar, I can in return teach you how to make usage of your own force to a higher degree, that would effectively allow you to use ever more powerful abilities, both with and without the pillar” Alumar stated, still holding his grin.

Byron had gotten to the beast fights. He rushed the wall in order to not pay for tickets and quickly made himself comfortable. This was done as the announcer made his way to the center of the arena. He was yelling something that seemed to energize the crowd. Byron wasn't interested though as he only wanted to see the beasts. He then thought to himself I have had a weird feeling since I met those two... As though it was a bad thing leaving them alone together. The mage seems alright but... When I was feeling nature I could feel that man. He wasn't human not in anyway at all. He simply was simply wearing a mask.

The beasts cages had been rolled into the arena and when Byron had noticed he forgot everything he had just thought of. The concept of a wraith was interesting. Apparently it was an immaterial being and was only capturable with holy magic. This was a sight he had to see. Rumor has it that Wraiths if they do materialize them selves are the same as any other being blood and all.

Hive Beetles though they were cool as well. They apperently made nests on the spot when in danger. And from this nest it replicated itself accelerating the growth of it's clones with magical energy. The clones are supposed to be the same in every way other than their lack of magic abilities.

Re smiled back at Alumar, he seemed to be interesting to the same extent Re was which was pleasant. Re's own life energy was a near infinite base of energy due to how he was created causing the life energy inside him to grow and be made in more reactive ways, that and he had eighty thousand years to build this energy up.

"Well, Shamanism can be taught to anyone as it is simply a matter of knowledge and using that knowledge. In that sense I can teach you to commune with the spirits and the elements and use there energy. The first step in the sense is learning how to see and talking with a spirit. You have had a taste of that but to properly communicate with a spirit you must have the proper respect", Re explained calmly as he thought over the mass of data he knew of spirits. "An example of this, if I was talking with a minor wind spirit I would be more likely sound like I am bossing him around but with Behemoth who is a mighty spirit older than even my eighty thousand years of age, I show respect and rather than ordering him I request him as a friend to help me. He is in my service out of respect not my orders, I have befriended him so he helps", Re explained further.

"Not all spirits can be befriended in such a sense though and depending on their element will depend on that spirits personality. A fire spirit is aggressive while a wind spirit is gentle and kind, a earth spirit is knowledgeable and firm while water is sneaky and tricky. Lighting spirits are jumpy quick and easy to scare of do things while shadow spirits are destructive and dangerous and wish to destroy and bring death. You must identify our element or elements and approach in the correct accord. Respect will get you far but ultimately you will need to catch a spirits interest if they wish to help you, well the more powerful ones at least", Behemoth explained calmly and lazily as he walked.

"Behemoth is correct, minor spirits thought I can command as they know my power, knowledge and experience and will simply obey for that reason", Re said as he waved his hand and several floating blue birds of varying types appeared from the rain before fading quickly. "If you wish to learn you must first learn how to see and commune with the spirits and for now the easiest way is you voice, knowledge and an artifact", Re added calmly before stopping and holding out a lens, this was a single piece of glass and looked like it belonged in a telescope, a flat lens with a bronze frame. "This will allow you to see spirits until you get a spirit sight like me which comes naturally in it's own time", Re explained as he looked around and saw the thousands of spirits flying around in nature in the rain and wind that was around them but didn't touch them because of Behemoths power opposing all water and wind spirits. If Alumar looked into that len's he would be introuduced into a new world with beings of increable power and age older than exsistance. Re himself had speaken to the spirit of the planet Gaia but that was many years ago.

OOC: Ok, I give, I saw Shakugan no Shana myself not too long ago, so I really like how you managed to actually use the Monocle as well ^^
I will be “modifying” it a little ^^
Also, I will not go too far in what abilities it has, Id like a PM on what you think it should be able to do beside seeing elemental spirits, as it is ‘your’ item. ^^
-------------------------------------

Alumar thought on Re’s words for a few minutes as they walked, he had always been reliant on his own power reliant on the source of energy that he had himself.
But, if he managed to learn the spirit sight and later on earn the trust of any spirits of a higher level, or managed to command enough lesser spirits not only could he gain a larger energy pool, but he could effectively use different abilities. Instead of casting specific spells, he might ask for an elemental spirit’s help in manipulating the whole element.
In Alumar’s head spells and ideas were already forming by this time, though it would all be for naught if he did not learn the spirit sight and earn the trust or interest of any spirits.

Stopping a meter or so after Re stopped, Alumar was handed a small lens, a king to a monocle, bronze frame with a cord, a king to a necklace fastened to it. The lens itself had a smoky tone to it, a kin to a sunglass’ lens.
Alumar took it with great interest and held it between his index finger and his thumb in his left hand as he slowly lifted it to his left eye.

For a rough second nothing happened, and all that he noted was a sunglass effect of the whole thing. Though suddenly it changed, almost as if one suddenly blew open a dam, it activated and in what looked like a flash local to inside the lens Alumar seemed to have the Spirit Sight by external means.
He was in awe, completely put back standing still almost as if he were frozen in place.
In the sky, on the ground, in the trees, walking along the road, around both Alumar and Re as well as Behemoth. All around them various colored animals of various types seemed to dwell, they were not in his vision with his right eye but though the lens he saw it all. Even if Alumar’s almost 4000 years of life he had never seen anything like it.
After a rough full minute, the initial awe cooled down, he still liked the effect but the initial shock was over.
“So many, so different, yet so alike” Was the first thing Alumar said as he started to smile.
Taking the lens down from his eye, everything disappeared, though now he knew they were all around him.
Putting his right hand through his portal in his cape, he took out his sunglasses.
The lenses on them are darker than normal and they have a black frame, and the lenses themselves are completely circular, and have a size of roughly 4cm (1.5inch) in diameter.
Squatting to the ground for a second, he drew a symbol just like the one that he used to fix the food and drink on the table not 10 minutes ago.
“Don’t worry Ill fix it later” he smiled.
He placed both his sunglasses and the lens from Re on the magic circle as he placed his right hand on it.
As it started to glow green it rise from the ground as if the gravity were removed from that area, as it were hovering in a slow spin the left eye of the glasses were removed, and the bronze frame of Re’s lens got the same treatment. After a few seconds, it all fell slowly to the ground and Alumar picked up the items.
In his pocket he placed the sunglass lens and the bronze fitting of Re’s lens, he put on the sunglasses that would now give him the spirit sight on his left eye as long as he had them on. “Beats carrying the single lens” Alumar grinned.

Though, as his eyes returned to the new world, he wondered if it only took the knowledge about their existence as well as ‘seeing’ them to interact with them, though he did not try anything at the moment as he assumed that Re would continue his lecture about his things worked.
Hopefully he would not be angry about the modification he had done to his artifact.

OOC: okay, zephiris is taking way too long to post, so i am going ahead.

As Akyria gazed into the petals of the round flower, small droplets of rain began to fall again, despite the bright sun in the air, a sun shower.

Akiiiiiiii! Over hereeeee!

A high soothing voice echoed over the plains, causing some of the guards to look around for the source of the voice. Akyria began tapping her forehead in resignation.

I should have expected you'd run off Tavvy.

looking up into the sky straight up. Suspended in the air was a small girl mage of 12 in blue garb, floating on a giant silver key, smiling cheekily.

Aw, but the others were stinky and noisy! It's so much better with you!

Viridiania began to descend with several loops around Akyria's head before reaching head level with the mercenary. Akyria put on a face of disapproval. She could not show the little girl any favours, as she is her subordinate. However, regardless of her being rough or nice, Viridiania seems to always remain cheerful.

C'mon! I can help much better than those guys.

One thing the girl had over Akyria was her knock out move, the puppy dog face. Akyria just could never find the heart to deny her request.

Fine! turning towards Zephiris, Akyria gripped onto Viridiania's hand and placed her in between herself and the group leader.

This is Viridiania Octavia Xuxa, a mage and my subordinate. Apparently, she ditched the rest of the company and went ahead. She can assist us in this mission if you would let?

OOC: Thanks, I watched the series and this guy was just a character I liked quiet a bit and wanted to use. With some modifications of chorus ^^. Anyone I am glad you liked the introduction of the Monocle.

BIC: "I always thought it's current form was a bit annoying to use", Re said as he nodded calmly. "Well you can see what I can always see now but when we reach the city you will see less of them. Spirits are things of nature and in a place such as a city much fewer reside unless brought into the city", Re explained calmly, Re liked it how Alumar was interested in the spirit world, Shamanism took a while to learn but was very useful in a great many ways and allowed you to understand the world to a greater extent.

"Now then the basic's", Re continued. "In the spirit world age is just about the most important thing, I am eight thousand years old give or take a few hundred meaning I command a great power in the spirit world as very few to almost no spirits out age me", Re explained as he started to walk again. "You have authority in a sense towards any spirit younger than you no mater the power, spirits can tell ones age with a glance so do not try and trick them. I am guessing you to be a couple of thousand years old meaning any lesser and most mid level spirits would be at your command you just need to learn to communicate with them", Re continued calmly.

"A formal approach works best when you are meeting a spirit for the first time, but do remember that once you gain sufficient knowledge you will not even have to talk to a spirit they will simply do as you wish. In Re's case he is lucky to an extent, as a construct he can use the elements that make him up as if he was a spirit to a lesser extent", Behemoth said almost tiredly.

"Yes that helps but you can still use the spirits to do what I can without any issues it will only take time", Re explained, the city of Dalmaska was in the distance. "But for now I think we should get to the city before we contiune, travelling wears the soul down and everyone and thing must rest", Re added calmly.

((OOC: Well, I thought I would at least wait for the appearance of your second character before proceeding to post... I did read the OOC thread after all, plus, life's getting busier. :) ))

A curious glance rested on the new appearance. Introduced to Zephiris as Viridiania Octavia Xuxa, she certainly looked rather unusual for a Mage. Or so Zephiris believed- none of the Mages' fashion sense ever appealed to her.

"I don't mind. If you believe she could be off help to the squad, I'm good." Shrugging as she replied, she put on a kindly smile, introducing herself. "Hello, Viridiania. I'm Zephiris Seraphim, nice to meet you."

'Quite obstreperous huh? Well, everyone's different.' Noting that down mentally, she faced the squad again. "People, meet Viridiania Octavia Xuxa. She will be joining us for this mission!" As always, a slight cheer rose, though controlled. 'Tsk. We shouldn't tarry any longer.'

Shifting her focus to the duo, her face became serious as she explained," I'm sorry to say this, but we're starting to use up more time than we should getting to the camp. Please, let us hurry to the location as soon as possible." While it did feel rude to say this to someone helping them, she did remember she currently held the greatest amount of authority.

After all, the palaver Akyria and Viridiania was engaged in did not interest her much.

" I'm sorry to say this, but we're starting to use up more time than we should getting to the camp. Please, let us hurry to the location as soon as possible."

Heh, no problem. Put up any pace and we will match it.

As much as she hated it, Akyria had to admit that Viridiania, with her key, was capable of out travel almost anything in terms of speed. Glancing over towards the hill and taking into consideration of her own speed plus an estimation of the speed of the guards, they would make decent distance if there was no more distractions.

Lead the way then, Ms Seraphim. Viridiania chirpped happily before lazily floating just off the pathway behind Zephiris with Akyria in tow. As the foreigners, Akyria held very little intel on the surrounding area besides the guild provided maps. With such murky intelligence, it was best to leave the leading to someone more knowledgeable of the landscape, lest they run into an ambush.

Glad to receive acceptance from the two, soft footsteps began, as the squad carefully treaded on the road, to the enemy camp. Throwing several cautious glances around the area, to ensure there was no enemy that could have spotted them, she turned back to face the squad.

"Alright, we're close enough." She began, her voice controlled and soft, but audible. "Okay, the attack will be commencing shortly. I'll run through the mission details again."

"The nature of this mission is: Annihilate. Leave none of the bandits alive."

Her gaze hardened. To have to kill so many people, she definitely sinned greatly this time round. At the very least, this killing intent was not malevolent. Still, it wasn't so much of a consolation to Zephiris. "Begin Mission."

With that, the squad dashed forward. Their steps were almost inaudible, a feat considering the weight of their armor. Not falling back behind, Zephiris followed the squad closely, staying somewhere in the middle. Being the leader, they squad had a duty to protect her.

Admittely, Zephiris found this a little uncalled for. Yet, it was mendacity to say she didn't appreciate it. "Akyria, Viridiania, do as you deem fit in this mission, but stay alive." She hurriedly said over to the two, her voice slightly louder than usual.

Her eyes weren't on them after all, it was on the bandit camp that was now in sight. As expected, they did not think the Dalmaskan Defense Forces would strike now, and in broad daylight too. Several tents were scattered around messily around the area, and what appeared to be the remnants of a campfire was placed in the middle of the mess of tents.

"Farewell, bandits. Perhaps, this might be the last time you see the Sun." She muttered, her face darkening as she drew her blade.

Total annihilation. Akyria understood that very well as did Viridiania. It was not their first type of these orders, so they had no qualm about it too much. Killing did not affect Akyria whatsoever. Viridiania justified her actions by logic that these are the sums of the earth. As their feet pounded away at the grass towards the bandit camp, still oblivious to their impeding doom, Viridiania slipped off her key ahead of the group and skiodded into a side stance, pointing the large, decorative head of her key staff at the middle of the camp.

I will begin the first strike.

Her mouth begun uttering incantations, the staff and her arm beginning a slight glow of ice white before all chanting stopped and out loud, Viridiania shouted
Fire Storm!

The large flaming sphere flew straight from her hand into the camp fire, exploding and scattereing the small flame that was still lit. What folloed afterwards was a barrage of smaller fireballs that bombarded the bandit camp. Despite the loud noise and light, the fireballs created more confusion that actual human damage to the bandits, with the tents catching fire, causing the bandits to frantically bring everything back into control.

The squad, by now, had passed Viridiania and was well within meters of the camp. Let's get started! With a vicious grin and a mighty grunt, Akyria sent Shouko spinning through the air, splitting the unfortunate bandit almost in half by the big blade. The loss of the blade didnt affect Akyria's speed as, out of it's sheath in her left hand was her short, serrated sword Haken.

((OOC: There shouldn't be much challenge though, since it's a casual mission.... I suppose I'll close up the battle after tipsy's next post.))

The squad didn't falter at the sight of the fireball, though this was one of the few times they witnessed magic of this level. Clashing with the disarrayed bandits that tried to hold the forces back in futility only resulted in more casualties on the bandits' side.

Blood spilled on the earth, staining it a deep crimson. Slashing her weapon sideways, Zephiris successfully brought down about 3 unfortunate bandits who happened to be in range. 'Magic... I guess I underestimated them.' She thought to herself, pulling out the dagger from her metal boots to plunge it into an enemy behind her.

Spinning about gracefully, her blade became blur of red as it bit through the flesh of her adversaries. It was evident who was winning, the bandits stood no chance. The squad was too professional, and with the aid of magic, the bandits were virtually doomed to death.

The flames from the burning tents sent smoke billowing into the clear blue sky. "A notice to the world about our sins?" She muttered, her eyes wandering into the sky briefly. "It's too late to repent." Suddenly snapping out of her spinning motion so far, she leaped forward without warning, cutting down another bandit from behind.

Shouko stood tall and daunting in the middle of the camp with its red ribboned hilt erected straight up and its silver blade glimmering in the sunlight. Behind it laid the remains of a bandit, split almost in half from head to waist and in front of it sat another with his face inches from where the blade bit into the ground. The battle clashed on around, echoing the noise of colliding steel and screams of agony so familiar with a battle. In the midst of shaking uncontrolably on the ground, a looming shadow blocked out the sun on the bandits face. With agonising slowness, his face met a silhouette of a woman. The said woman gripped the red ribboned hilt before slowly pulling the gigantic blade free from the packed dirt. His eyes slowly trailed the path of the blade as it reversed its position, the tip pointing straight up into the sky. Total annihilation was the order....was it not? The whispered words rung loud and clear over the deafening din of the clash of combat. The bandit was only given enough time to comprehend the words before his eyes contracted in realisation as the large blade bit into his head.

~~~~~
It was unpleasant business as usual. Blood had managed to lodge itself on her blade despite the clean straight sweep. The red liquid began to ooze out from the cut to the now dead bandit's head. As expected, these ragtag bands of rogues and thugs were no match for just the guards, nevermind herself and her company. UAAAAARGH! The battle cry of the desperate. Akyria could almost cry in disbelief. Had the poor soul not betrayed his position with that cry, it might have allowed him longer to leave, albeit just a second longer. With deftness thought impossible with such a blade, Akyria performed a nice triple twirl with Shouko in her right hand before thrusting backwards around the front of the face, over her left shoulder. The sudden stop of the cry and the slight impact that ran along Shouko told Akyria enough of the result. With an upward flick, Shouko sliced clean up out of the skull, with another bandit down for the count. Heh! Come, oh scum of the world. I openly challenge you to step forth like a man and fight me, or i will seek you out and kill you like a coward. Choose!
Surprisingly
, there were a fair amount of brave bandits in this group, with 6 stepping forward. Unfortunately, this was greatly outshadowed by those who ran the other way. Tch! Ah well. Advance all at once if it pleases you. I relish the challenge. A quick glance to their comrades and a slight nod commenced the attack as all six men charged in a semi circle. Fools! A single horizontal sweep of the blade cut down two bandits instantly before the third managed to duck and roll. Two others, seeing the exposed right flank, charged, believing the cumbersome blade would be the mercenaries weak point. Unfortunately, the beefy bandit was met with the hilt of shouko, breaking his nose and faring much worse than his comrade, who had a quick death with Haken cutting across his throat. In the span of 3 seconds, the six had dropped to two. The lucky bandit who had managed to evade Akyria's first stike snapped, dropped his blade and ran, leaving his comrade writhing on the floor, clutching his nose. Oi oi oi.... No running... Akyria muttered menacingly as she uncerimoniously plunged Shouko into the writhing bandits chest, ceasing all movements. The last one ran on, regardless of the warning, before being hammered into a tree by a large spout of water. Seeing that their retreating path was covered, Akyria turned her attention towards the guards and the rest of the fighting bandits.
~~~~~
Water Cannon! Viridiania saw the fleeing man run from Akyria's massacre. The girl had never agreed completely in reagrds to killing another human, but it was her order. The large shot of water impacted solidly on the man, straight into his right ribs before sending him crushed against a hard Maple tree. Even from her distance, Viridiania could feel the crunch of the ribs breaking. More men were beginning to flee, which was a problem. Most of which were funnled towards the only path out on this side in which Viridiania stood guard. Ben, Look! A gurl! Watta we gunna do? Idiot! We cut right through her! We are bandits! Men with no morals! Whats a girl gonna add to us? That being said, the man named Ben raised his giant scimitar, preparing for a downward slash across Viridiania when he felt his stomach heave. Ben staggered a bit before something wet rammed straight into his face, then his chest and his groin before he felt a rapid pummeling like he was being beaten the crap out of him. A critical hit rammed home into his neck, creating a sickening snap, ceasing all movement.

Water Bullet!

The lead man was down after Viridiania rained down on him with Water Bulelts. He now laid there, motionless while his bandit buddies stood still, shocked at the revelation that one of their leaders was dead, killed by a kid. In the midst of shock, a tiny voice broke their trance.

Uoh! Water Surge!

The ground in front of the girl mage bubbled before a large man size waved shot up the sloping hill. The impending wall of water froze many to the spot, only to be crash tackled when the wave hit, curling them in the trough of the wave before sending them shooting up the hill and back into the chaos occuring in the middle of the camp, with an additional broken bone or two.

The battle began in a flurry of movements. The Wraith had a particular tactic, He would dematerialize his body and then strike with his claws when their was an opening. No matter how many times he saw this Byron couldn't figure it out. "It must be an innate ability. If it were magic I would have figured it out. Still that Wraith is rather calm. No matter how many times he strikes it simply grinds against the Hive Beetles iron infused shell. Its flesh is too hard... And if he materializes at the wrong time the Hive Beetles horn will shred his body... He can't win with what he has shown yet" This made his curious as to the Wraiths Tactics.

Then the battle became more one sided. The Hive Beetle began to drop little sacks of flesh, All while the Wraith watched. These sacks began to expand and now formed a hive. "That is how that damn thing got its name... It'll start reproducing" Near instantly baby beetles with razor sharp horns began to crawl out the hive. But just as they began to creep towards the Wraith its eyes began to glow a deep red.

OOc: Sorry for the very late reply, I don't know what happened ^^
-------------------

Alumar liked how it was progressing, though he still had to learn how to communicate with them, he liked the fact that he had instantaneous command over any spirit younger than him.
Though how Behemoth mentioned that spirits could see ones age, and that Re was in a sense a spirit, which would make up the reason to why he guessed Alumar’s unusual age.

As they kept on walking towards the city, he did not say much, he was still taking in the sights which were incredible.
“So, how do one gain the help of more powerful spirits, you say that they have to choose to help, that I have to be interesting to them.” He stated as he tilted his head towards Re.
This should not come as a shock to him, Alumar was a wizard of all forms, he wanted more power before most other things. Though he was not stupid enough to just claim it or get it the fast way, he knew from personal experience that power had to be eased in for safety reasons to himself and those around.

“And yes, that is true.” He replied about that they should get to the town, every living thing needed rest every now and then, traveling did not help.
So Alumar kept on walking beside Re, very slowly getting used to the sight of the spirits around him.

((OOC: ...Sorry, after all this, I suppose that's the least I can say. :S ))

A final groan broke from the lips of the bandit, as he fell back, resigned to his fate. Pulling the blade out of the dead man, Zephiris sheathed her blade. Her face that of deep melancholy as she surveyed the area. As premeditated, the squad had once again performed exceedingly well.

Barely anyone suffered anything more than a small cut, or simply a bruise. "Casualties?" Zephiris mumbled, ensuring her voice was loud enough for a nearby squad member to hear. They were considerably scattered about, the bandit camp wasn't as small as Zephiris had thought it was.

Apparently, she had been fighting around the same area, barely moving away from the same spot she began her battle in. "Nil. All's fine, and ready to go." The squad member replied, after checking around with the squad.

"Good." Zephiris answered. Then, the two mercenaries came to mind. "Hm.. Where could they be?" She mused, scouring the masses for the two.

OOC: Nah, its alright. You wouldve posted in time. I just got impatient.

The fight was short and one sided. The bandits never had a chance. All around Akyria were the hacked up bodies of slain rogues. There were hardly any that were in one total piece. It was expected though, considering the size of Shouko. After a final sweep with her eyes over the landscape, the mercenary was satisfied with the job. Two slender fingers came to her mouth
and a high pitched whistle echoed throughout the camp.

Tavvy! Where are you?

~~~~~
The last jet of water slammed into the face of the bandit, dropping him where he stood. Viridiania's breath was slightly ragged. After all, she is but a girl of twelve. Hearing the pitched whistle, the small girl tapped the key with her foot, making it horizontal and floating before she tiredly climbed on. Clover slowly wove its way back up hill towards the camp fire, which was by now out. The grass reeked of blood and burnt flesh, which caused a slight gagging reaction in her throat. Viridiania floated besides Akyria's head, bit willing to touch the red grass.
You called?
Yea. We're finished. Let's head back to the commander. Go find her with your key.
Viridiania pouted childishly as her key wobbled into the air. Smoke rose from the ground, a result caused be her own spell. Many of the guards were walking about, checking the corpses of the bandits, Amongst the death, smoke and guards, Viridiania spotted the pretty commander with her large sword.
Akki! Over here! she signalled before drifting down to Zephiris. Hello, commander. Did things go as planned?
Turning to look over to Viridiania as she approached on her key, Zephiris smiled pleasantly, pleased at the knowledge at least one of the mercenaries were alive. Hearing her signal Akyria as she came closer affirmed the other mercenary's safety.
Her arms folded together as she nodded. "Certainly. Zero casualties, complete annihilation. Mission's a success." She replied casually, sighing as the many corpses littered around the camp came to sight.
"I believe, we should return to Dalmaska soon. Feel free to hang around for a bit while I round out the Squad."
As she said that, Zephiris waved for the same squad member that reported the number of casualties. Pulling away from the group he was engaged in conversation with, he came to the squad leader. "Okay, round the squad up, we're returning." She whispered.
She didn't know why she even bothered to whisper, when the mission was accomplished. Another sigh was heard, as she shook her head in resignation to the habit.
