Hm i think they just see it as the easy option, rather than look for someone who can put up a fight theyl choose someone who cant resist, its horrible. In the case of this story the guy does sound like hes got mental problems, not that i think that excuses him but he doesnt sound like hes all there. :/
 
Hmmmm I just wonder what the motive was behind it. Was the man hungry? or Does he have a case of insanity? He might even have rabies?

There has to be something wrong with him, who thinks about ripping your sons eye out for stomach cravings. That is just a little nutty.

It's almost hard to believe that it is truly real.
 
That's just shocking. What's even more shocking is that most western societies seem to have judicial systems that are very ill suited towards the increasing cruelty and ruthlessness of today's crimes. What this guy did is so far beyond comprehension, that I don't even consider him human. So put him down like the sick animal that he is, and be over with it.
 
I believe that in the heart of every man (human) there lies an evil seed, waiting to be watered and tended to through the entertainment of cruel, gluttonous, and apathetic thoughts and hypothetic plans. However, I do not believe that a human can do such a thing on a natural impulse, unless they've got really corrupted genes and the allele for psychosis and cannibalism, and that humans who commit these kinds of macabre acts do so because they either have grudges, harmful rage, or extremely short, near nonexistent tempers that they allow that evil to grow, eventually becoming vessels of demonic activity and tyranny.

Or he could just be a psycho bastard who needs to die, but that's an unforgivable, unpardonable, and unjustifiable act to do something so nefarious, and to a child to gild the lily.
 
I have to say, that is some fo the most shocking tales of abuse I have ever heard of. To actually do that to your own child - for whatever insane reason - is the sickest act of human cruelty i can think of, besides sexual torture and rape. It is the kind of thing that you hear, and your stomach just wrenches.. and you can't quite comprehend how any human being could commit such an act - to anyone - let alone their children.

It truly is saddening for the little boy.. I cannot imagine how such a young mind could process all that has happened to him. Just the words "Daddy ate my eyes" is so innocent.. so honest. I hope to God that he is cared for in a loving, safe, and happy household for the rest of his childhood life, than the sadistic, cruel and sickening abuse his father has subjected him to. You can't help but wonder how such a shocking experience will affect him growing up..

Even though I am against death penalty, with crimes such as these, it's hard not to think that is what this animal, and others like him, deserve.

insanity is too easily thrown about in frivolous lawsuits as it is, so just bolstering its usefulness in such a big instance like this case would just encourage people to evade responsibility as a human being.

I agree. Pleading insanity is thrown about way too much.. I myself, have a Mental Illness (I'm quite sane, by the way) but nothing should bypass the responsibilties of being a human being, and being held accountable for the actions you take on others. There is NO excuse for the harm of any child. Ever. To think otherwise, makes you less than human..
