Currently replaying IX :)

Well, I won the tourament (woohoo, thanks saix -pinches cheeks-) Alexandria got done over big time, Alexander looked well nifty. I want. And Bahamut -__-

Now she has lost her voice and I get 'command failed, can't concentrate' quite a lot ugh.....I have just been mooching aroung, catching frogs and levelling. I'm just about to head into the desert palace which I recal HATING on my last play through.... I'm sure there's something about mirrors and candles

Oh...I love Quina :gasp:
And Steiner is sort of beginning to grow on me aswel, the snivelling idiot
 
Dagger's so obviously not worth using at that point. :wacky: Luckily Quina's White Wind can heal for up to 1000 at around level 40-50, so train up against some Grand Dragons to get the healing factor. Learn Lvl 5 Death from Zombie Whale if you're having trouble with them though (they're on most beaches, I think).

Just remember to send only your physical attackers to Oeilvert, and you'll fly through that part. :neomon:

Oh I just finished Oielvert, it was easy enough, had no problem stealing all the items from Ark either, that has to be a first, Kuja has well totally set me up though, he's gunna kill everyone >=[

I already learned level 5 death, now I just have to do what ever it is I have to do with my other 4 guys back in the palace (Quina, Garnet, Amarant & Vivi)

I'm not looking forward to this part though, I'm sure it's an arsehole of a place. I better get the Hilda Garde after this, I wanna go chocographing & do more frogging -__-

Oh and I need to go back to Treno...I couldn't be bothered trekking back on foot earlier
 
If you beef Quina (subsequently your party too) up via the means I mentioned, Mount Gulug won't be a problem. Make sure you've done a bit of Chocograph hunting too - you can get some good items at this stage in the game, as well as Freya's and Amarant's more powerful weapons (about 70 attk apiece).

Equip Body Temperature and Antibody for this place though - not only for the monsters, for but for that wonderful boss at the end. =)
 
The bit in the Desert palace is a bit of a fanny on. All to stop the final boss from powering up via the bloodstones. but its quite good when he's all like 'I'm gonna crush you, let me just get my bloodstones' then it turns out you've got them all and then its flare reflect x2 with Vivi time! ^_^
 
I'm up to Ipsens Castle now, not gone in yet, I'm not fond of that place either, I'm chocographing atm. I just need to dig up the last 3 in that aerial garden and dig a couple up on the worlp map -glares at ocean chocograph-

I still need to catch summore frogs aswel but I got carried away and caught to many in two of the marshes :gasp:

Once I've done the chocograping, Ima move on. Am I safe to leave Ozma til disk 4 or will Ihave to do it before the disk change?
 
This is the game I've tried to replay more than any other. It is addictive.

I think this game has so many epic moments that I just want to keep seeing them and reliving them myself on another play-through.
The battle between Alexander and Bahamut, the Brahne vs. Kuja battle. Terra being destroyed....AWESOME!

Probably my favorite game to replay in the series.
 
Definitely my favourite FF. My only complaint is that it's too short!!! I remember getting Eiko and Amarant and thinking, yey got the full team, now let's see where the story goes.... and then in no time I was fighting the last boss. I think the full team should be around for at least half the game! It's really annoying that you get a great character and don't have enough time to play with them.

Maybe it's not that bad though, I haven't played it for years. My discs keep freezing up :(

Gawd, haven't played FFIX in ages, maybe I should dig it up sometime and play? Last time I played it I think I got up to disk 3 before giving up and playing something else
 
Ipsen's isn't too bad, better than not being able to use magic like in Oeilvert. Just use basic weapons and you'll be ok. And Ozma will still be chilling in the sky garden on disk 4. defo wait until then.
 
I didn't mind Oeilvert, I don't use much magic anywaY so all that really affected me was having to use potions instead of Cure. Ijust remember the first time I ever wnet to Ipsens Castle and I had sold all my old equipment...... >_>
 
I've found all the chocographs I just need to find 7 more on the map - I have more left over than I thought, Im also getting my hair off trying to find these bastard bubbles, I'm starting to get my hair off with it now -__-

I just wanna get them all found then move on but noooooo

Ugh.
 
Yeah but you can find loads of old stuff in Ipsen's so its not so bad. And the moogle sells old weapons to you too, so you're plain sailing!

The cracks/bubbles are a little annoying, especially the ones on the forgotten continent, even with help its like, is that a crack? nope its just the graphics...

And then you've got one last bubble after you've been to terra....
 
Bambi, if memory serves well, you could find some bubbles/foam somewhere between the northern parts of the Outer and Lost Continents. Yeah, then head to the balcony in Quan's Dwelling; walk to the very end and a question bubble will pop up -- Zidane'll notice some foam in the water below.

I remember that there are bubbles between the Mist Continent and the Forgotten Continent. Forget where exactly though. I think it's somewhere in the bigger patches of water.

I found them all eventually, I was really doing my nut over that crack on the southern part of the forgotton continent though, I wasted so many dead peppers thinking areas were cracks whern they weren't.

Anyhoo, I'm in Memoria atm, Ive delivered all the moogle letters, fun but dissapointing >_> got the excallibur, which is shit -__- found ultima weapon for zidane, like the first time I tried digging for it, which was a welcome surprise.....got a maximum of 51 skips which is like my best evar ...haha. I will never bother with that one

I just need to do Ozma. The cunt. If he didn't keep cursing me I wouldn't have all that much of a problem, and using magic hammer is a waste of bastard time aswel because once Ive de-mp'd the swine he just absorbs mine -__-

So yeah, I gave up and Im in Memoria, doing a bit of levelling then Il head back to show Ozma who's boss....
 
Ozma! That friggin' LSD-oozing jawbreaker! I remember beating him once and it was just sheer luck!

Never used curse (thankfully); but he used Doomsday more than once -- I absorbed it all. ^_^
 
I'm currently replaying again too. I'm doing the Chocobo Hot & Cold before I go into Memoria, but I just realized I missed my chance to get the coffee for that old geezer. :panic:
 
Thats about what I'm doing now, lvling up in memoria. don't know whether to hit some yans first then tackle ozma, just for the fun of it all. keeps you sharp, the yans do!
