Depends on what you're wearing:

Cotton panties are warm and comfy
Silk panties ride easier and make you sweat

Cotton nighties get twisted up when you're sleeping
Silk nighties get twisted, but they don't restrain your movement

Cotton bedsheets are crisp and cool
Silk bedsheets are slippery and act as a sexual preventative

Cotton comes from a plant, silk from a worm....ewww do you REALLY want the excretions of a WORM against your skin?

seriously.....

I prefer cotton as it's a nice breathable material that is comfy. Silk is way too slippy and also it makes me sweat in places I'd rather not.
 
And if you wear a silk dress on a windy day, it won't stay down.
A cotton dress is heavy and won't flap around. =]

well silk is smoother but i kinda dont wear silk for somereason

Wearing it? I couldn't compare it to anything else, seeing as I've never actually worn any garment made exclusively from silk.

Though for feeling, definitely silk. It's like... liquid air. >.>
 
I can't belive I voted but didn't post anything! I definitly prefer silk to cotton. I love the way it feels on my skin and how it is so light perfect to wear in the summer!
 
To answer the question, for me it's cotton. For the women I'm with, I prefer silk. Definitely not lace though... that stuff is just annoying.
 
Annoying for you removing said lacey garment from said woman or annoying for said woman wearing it, trying not to laugh as you fumble to remove said lacey garment?
