do you guys think/heard about this game coming out for a console in addition to the handheld? i mean, they did it with that KH game (Chain of memories).

cuz honestly, i don't like playing on handhelds, and prefer consoles, but this game just looks too amazing to pass up.

I've also sorta been waiting for FFVIICC to come out on a console...should i just buck up and buy a PSP? I know i won't play it for more than these two games...is it worth it? or has anybody heard about them being rereleased at a later date?

I doubt it, I mean it's not even out yet (over here) so why make it for PSP only to bring it out on a console?, think about hiow long ago it was that CoM Came out, even if they DID (unlikely) it would be ageeeees and ages away

I would really appreciate if it came out for PS2. This game is the reason why I want a PSP (even more than Crisis Core is). But I never heard or read anything about it, so I don't think it's gonna happen =/

To be honest, I don't think Dissidia will be brought out on a console. Same goes with Crisis Core. The PS2 is dying and making way for the PS3 and I seriously doubt SE would bother porting either game to the PS3. Which means that the only other option is a remake for the PS3 and I think it is far to early for SE to consider remaking either game (especially seen as Dissidia isn't even out over here yet).

You know what really annoys me?

When you finally find a game series you enjoy and then have to fork out a small fortune in order to play them because they're all on different consoles.

What the hell is with that besides companies making money from our obsessions? >_<

Even if these games were to come out on a 'proper' console I wouldn't have been able to wait that long. I just went and bought my brothers Crisis Core PSP off him with the Crisis Core game and now I'm set for Dissidia. >_<

it really sucks. i understand how they want to make the series accessible to people with a wide variety of consoles, but it makes for a really bad situation for those who want to play ALL the games (like me). unfortunately, this means buying new consoles....and for those with limited funds...(like me) this poses a problem.

wouldn't it be nice, if they came out with a system that played all the FF's no matter what system it was on? even if it didn't play any other series of games, i'd buy that and be set.

Well that's just too bad for poorfags. I myself am aware of this situation but from a business and technical perspective it makes sense.

The PS2 is a dying console, chumps should stop thinking about it. I know some devs still bother to make PS2 ports or whatever to pull an extra buck or two, but I'm pretty certain that for SE, their through with the PS2. The validity of this statement may be questionable but I'm pretty certain their last game on the PS2 was the KHII+FM/RE:CoM. Plus, they've never ported their PSP games and I doubt that's likely to change anytime soon.

Anyway OP, I personally say you get a PSP. It's absolutely worth it; in addition to playing games it's also a really sweet media gadget, which you can use to play videos, surf the web, listen to the radio and listen to music. Most of this will be moot if you say, already have a video playing iPod or iPhone (which wasn't my case) so yeah.

And despite the "PSP = NO GAMES" tripe that people spout, it does has some must-own ACE titles. It's a rule that as a PSP owner, you must have Patapon. Must. That game is amazing and it's simply a sin for a psp owner to miss out on the fun, they have no excuse. The sequel to this is coming out on the 5th of May in America.

There's also Loco Roco (and a sequel) God of War, Tekken, Guilty Gear, MGS, some Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy I&II if you still haven't played those and among others tht I haven't played yet, there's Star Ocean (it's a port of the first I think?) Jeanne d'Arc (praised RPG) and...

...yeah that's all I got at the top of my head. |^¦

it's obvious that companies wouldn't want to do ports in order to make more money. no one denies that. that's not good business, that common sense.

i'm talking in a hopeful sense.

the ps2 is still a great console, even if they are phasing it out. and if you really have a problem with it, then lets say porting to the ps3. who cares? the point is, going from the handheld to the console.

and you should really learn to not be so rude. according to you, i'm a poorfag cuz i don't come from the same priviledged background as you do, and i'm a chump because i like my ps2. oooooooookay

the way i see it, there are three types of gamers. there's the fanboys. normal people who just enjoy gaming, and the business whores who do nothing but glorify every decision a gaming company makes, for better or for worse. guess which one you are.

not trying to start anything against you, and maybe i'm being a bit rude myself, but.......whatever.

Alright, I'll just requote myself then:

"The PS2 is a dying console, chumps should stop thinking about it. tl;dr: It's unlikely.

Or you could try not to take shit so literally and personally.

The shit? Your generalizations not only come from east bumblefuck but they're also bonafide fucked up that I honestly don't even have a snarky retort for this. Eh, enjoy your broken logic I s'pose.

Nah, I woudn't say rude. I prefer to word it as thus; you're just getting defensive over absolutely nothing.

Seriously dude, chillax.

I highly doubt Dissidia will be ported FROM a handheld to a console; although I have no idea if such a scenario actually happened in the past or not >_> (KH CoM was REMADE, not ported, so it doesn't count :P)

And since the PSP was made AFTER the PS2, it's kind of like you're going backward with reformatting o_O

As for the PS2 being a dying console, well, I know Square has given up on it since the last North American PS2 game was as far as I know being KH Re:CoM back in December, but I still love my PS2 and play the games.

Of course that's mainly because I don't own a PS3 or an XBOX 360, but even if I had a PS3, I'm not going to just suddenly stop playing my PS2 games, ya know. I still play my PS1 games even now on my PS2. Why should a new console suddenly shove aside the games I like?

As such, the only thing appealing to me right now from SE are the games for the DS and PSP, which are a decent amount, but the bigger console titles while intrigue me mean nothing if I don't have a console to play on them >_<

However, although Square has given up on the PS2 doesn't mean other companies haven't. I know Atlus has been releasing more games for the PS2 recently, which I'm thankful for since I don't have the money to buy a PS3 any time soon. Persona 4 that came in December, and Devil Summoner 2 that's coming out in May I think.

Random: noctits, I love the image in your sig area =D

There will be no console release of these games... Ps2 have they're graphics and PSP has it own... on little screen CC looks great, on big DOesn't! Sorry for so hard answer, but think before you write something ...
