I don't know if anyone notice but didn't it look like cloud took sephy 's sword from him and hit him. Up on FF AC, there is nothing like being owned by yer ownsword. Did you guys see it?
 
Are you talking Advent Children or FFVII? o_O

I know he used his own in VII...well im like 99% sure he did...

And as for AC, well, I can't remember
 
On AC it was a blur but i'm sure i saw! i watched it over and over, Watch it again you'll see what i'm talking about.

I might watch it again tonight actually, it keeps looking at me telling me to watch it & I intend on paying attention becaue I always miss these little details that people bring up xD
 
It was his new Buster Sword that he used in AC. Afaik, he didn't touch Sephiroth's Masamune in the film.
And even in the game, it was Zack that stabbed him.
 
but as you see Sephy didn't have his weapon in his hand and as cloud hit him i paused it and di sword was slender and long. Cloud let go after he hit him. And all di swords fell down, Kadaj picked his weapon back but it fell out of di sky to as well the swords.

After reading this thread I looked at the movie and your right sephiroth isn't holding a sword when cloud does the move but after counting the sword sections there were no extra blades than the ones that make up his sword, anyway the sword cloud's holding when he lands is the one he used on sephiroth.
