You and me both! I'm only in an introductory course of linguistics, but I love learning about it. I like those kind of problems where you have to figure out what different words in a language mean by looking at the patterns. I think it's called a morphology problem. In the last test we had, there were one of those problems, and the professor used Klingon as the example. XDLinguistics
I've found it pretty interesting so far. It involves looking for similarities and differences in different languages which in turn can be used to explain how particular languages were developed. It also involves looking at how words and sentences are constructed. So far, I've had to figure out what certain words in foreign languages mean by looking for patterns and such. Pretty interesting stuff.
In high school, the only classes that I really enjoyed were my art classes and the general psychology class. There are way more interesting classes here at college, like Japanese, Chinese, Linguistics, Greek Literature, Chinese Culture, Japanese Culture, and more.
