But wouldn't some of them make you mages even more overpowered? D: You might need the MP restoring ones, but casting spells without using MP as a mage seems unfair :sad3:

Well, you did suggest it... but it is a smart tactic. Say that I have 5 enchants on the staff, one for Fire, one for Ice, one for Thunder, one for Water, one for Cure. And if each of them have only 20% chance, at least one will be activated on each hit. This can enable spell-stacking, as well as casting multiple spells at once.

Spell stacking is a no no. Tsurugi, glad you like the warrior area. :busta:

It's best if it is not stacked. Mages could be dealing damage that could make battles very unfair, which would be overpowering them. They could potentially kill with one whack on the head (with a staff that had many enchants) which would not be right in PvP.

I can assure you that a properly developed mage does NOT need free spells or MP boosters, and the mage area is far less difficult than it is made out to be. I got through the boss with 6 HP dilutes and 6 MP dilutes fused with choco milk, and had a few potions to spare. This new area set makes the high HP strategy even more powerful, and I'm considering dumping all forms of raw defense entirely. If anyone wants help getting through the mage zone I'd be happy to battle with them.

I can imagine that most high level mages would plow through the warrior and assassins zones if given the opportunity...

the mage area was made a lot easier than when it was first release. when it was first release, increasing mag def didn't seem to work at all and monster constantly hit over 100 and i had low hp so that was part of the problem too and with 4 of them at once. but now increasing mag def actually seems to lower magic damage. now monster is hitting around 40-50 with the occasinal 60-80 on me anyway

Monsters still consistently hit me for over 100, but I suppose I brought that on myself. The worst part is when you're up against four bone dragons and they're all bent on using their Dragon Breath move against you. Repeatedly getting 400+ damage in one turn rotation is tough for even me to handle.

Try putting some points into MAG DEF the next few times you level up.

I'm not positive but I think the Assassin Tunnel of Trials monster may give out less exp. Bolt told me he could get to level 38 on his monsters. I'm level 32, and the biggest battle I can get at Tunnel of Trials A3 (Kain 2 and Kain 3) Only gives me 2 exp. I'm not sure if it's just the Kain 3 that gives it or whatever but regardless I'm pretty sure that won't get me to level 38.

Yeah, tell Damon that you want him to raise the levels of Kain 2 and Kain 3 to 32. That way the level ranges will be fair.

What level are they? Mountain Troll 2 at Tunnel of Trials W3 is Level 32...if the strongest non-boss monster in the tunnels is only Level 30, that's not all that fair. :hmmm:

Edit: Ah, Adamant posted while I was typing... :P Yeah, that is something I definitely think you should do, t'would suck for you to be stuck at a max level of 36, while I am already there, and could reach up to Level 38. >.>

Kain 3 is level 30. I went and scanned it.

We're being screwed over again. D= No wonder it's taking ages to level up. :gonk:

Mage area ends at level 32 also. So Adamant can reach level 38 also. I made the mage tunnel, up to the boss.

I had added the monsters before he came on board. He did test them and added the boss. Plus did the store, potions and other stuff in the last area.
