Cid - Favourites and Worsts!

In aid of Cid week, I've decided to set up a thread dedicated to Cid; your favourites and your worsts. Please elaborate on some of your answers. Tell us what you like/dislike specifically! Do you like the quirky, unconventional personality of Cid in FFIX? Do you dislike the harsh, impulsive personality of Cid in FFX?

Cid Fabool IX!

Favourite Cid personality:
Cid Fabool IX! He was an ideal regent. He didn't let power control him. He respected those who weren't 'important'. He was calm, thoughtful and occasionally quite funny! He was lighthearted.

Favourite Cid aesthetically:
Cid Highwind, Cid Raines and Cid Aulstyne.
I adore the small details which add to Cid Highwind's character; his cigarette, the goggles and his pilot's scarf! Looking at him, you get a sense of his personality, his hobbies and his interests. His cigarette gives him some edge, but the way it hangs from his mouth suggests a wistfulness too... I can see him sitting alone in a yellow field, watching the sunset as he contemplates life and his achievements.
Cid Raines' design reminds me of those far-too-important, slightly arrogant but rebellious aristocrat. He has a responsible position, but he rejects some of the philosophies he is meant to live by. The colours used for his design are very appealing too. (That's a more simple reason to like the clothing!)
Cid Aylstyne is another one whose outfit tells a story. I haven't played the game, but here stands a very stern, heartless, bitter, powerful man! My guess is he holds a lot of authority and he is merciless.

Favourite role (e.g. Garnet's uncle):
Garnet's uncle! The role of Cid in FFVIII is pretty fantastic too.

Favourite Cid theme:
Cid's theme from VII I think. It somehow makes me picture a great adventure, sailing through the winds on an airship, visiting faraway lands!

Least favourite Cid overall:
Out of those I know well... the Cid in FFXII.

Least favourite Cid personality:
The Cid in FFXII. He was almost as annoying as FFX's Seymour, always appearing to battle you, insane and shallow - he wasn't a particularly complex character.

Least favourite Cid aesthetically:
FFX Cid. The design suits his character, I suppose, but I would have preferred a more majestic Cid.

Least favourite role (e.g. Garnet's uncle):
None. I don't mind Cid being an antagonist... I just mind him being a bad example of an antagonist.

Least favourite Cid theme:
None.

Favourite Cid overall: Cid from FF7! I love his backstory and overall personality! He is a brave man that had to sacrifice his life dream for the sake of someone else.
Favourite Cid personality:Cid from FF7
Favourite Cid aesthetically:Cid from FF 4 - To me thats the classic Cid visual! Its like it is the purest impersonation of Cid elements such as the airship, the good engineering,etc...
Favourite role (e.g. Garnet's uncle):Mid's Grandfather (ff5 cid)

What would you like to see in a future Cid? - CURSING! No more aristocrat, old english kind of Cid(last game I played FFXII) and see another playable cid not villains.

Least favourite Cid overall:FF XII cid - he is an obnoxious, egomaniac self made bastard!
Least favourite Cid personality: FF XII cid! He is a complete asshole.
Least favourite Cid aesthetically:FF XII cid! His looks annoy me to no end.
Least favourite Cid theme: If XII cid has a theme thats the theme I HATE!!!

Favourite Cid overall: Cidolfus Demen Bunansa, of the twelfth installment.
Favourite Cid personality: FFXII Cid is a magnificent bastard and the voice acting is on point.
Favourite Cid aesthetically: I'm going to have to go with Cid Pollendina for exactly the reasons Omegadruid listed.
Favourite role (e.g. Garnet's uncle): Cid of the FFX games, as Yuna's uncle and Rikku's father.
Favourite Cid theme: Hey, Cid! is a great one. From the fourth installment.
What would you like to see in a future Cid? Nothing in particular. I'm pretty open-minded to different ideas. I just want someone likable, even if the character in-game isn't (i.e Cidolfus).

Least favourite Cid overall: The ten games. It's not that I dislike him - I don't - it's just that he reminds me of a hick. He's pretty whiny too, I think.
Least favourite Cid personality: Cid from X, yet again. I like him though! I swear I do, it's just that he's hardly competition to the other Cids, who were pretty great.
Least favourite Cid aesthetically: ....X Cid. Nothing against him, just not a fan of the Al Bhed fashion. I was surprised at Rikku's wardrobe in X, post-strip, since it was my favourite one.
Least Favourite role (e.g. Garnet's uncle): None, really. I appreciate each role for what it was.
Least favourite Cid theme: I only know of two Cid themes, and that's Cid Pollendina's theme and Cid Highwind's theme. I guess, since Hey, Cid! was my favourite one, that would make Highwind's theme my least favourite. No matter how fucking fabulous of a theme it was. Loved it.
