So I seem to have an issue going on with a moderator or two at least. In one particular thread me and another member were told to stay on the topic at hand. We were talking about the subject but including other topics within that topic to enhance the discussion. So I received like...maximum negative rep for continuing my conversation. Now just to be honest I've been apart of quite a few FF forums over the years and I have to say that this is probably the most rude thing that has ever happened to me in a forums. I mean, let's be honest here, a forums is for what.....? For discussion. Enhancing the discussion through a topic that can directly tie in to the topic at hand should not be punished. If this is the kind of forums that is being run here I will gladly take permanent leave from here and find a page where the population has a higher maturity level and doesn't mind spicing up a debate, conversation or whatever you'd like to call it. Just a concern I have and I'd like more info on what's going on here.

If a mod tells you to do something, do it

If you have a problem with it, PMing them or an admin would be probably more appropriate than a rant thread

The moderator had asked for spammy off-topic discussion to be stopped right? and did you continue it afterwards?

If you did, you shouldn't see it as rude. If anything ignoring the mod's request was pretty rude.

Also, you were in red and at 0 and I repped you giving you 19+ thousand in rep power. Looks like someone else also repped you so no worries now right? :wacky:
 
I can understand what you guys are saying. I'm just saying that mods are like angry mothers most of the time. If your members say something try listening to them. Honestly you can hit the rep down to max negative agian and I couldn't care less. I don't approve of being spoken to as a child when I'm sure most of you are either younger or in the same age range. Just a thought though. The level at which these comments are flowing in is pretty pathetic. Sorry if you think I'm an A hole or whatever but I've been an admin and I'm telling you that those posts were not spam. There's a huge difference that power tripping mods can't seem to realize. Enough said. If you have a problem spam my inbox. Go ahead and close this if you see fit.
 
Mods are so great.
Perhaps if you have an issue with the moderators the proper way to voice your concern would possibly be a PM?
I'm sure that if the mods were condescending or insulting they would apologise, they are humble, except that CassinoChips, he is almost as arrogant as me, but he is so great.
And this is perhaps not the best way to prove your maturity etc. I'm sure that if you made some great posts about some finaru fantaruji games people would recognise that you are mature.
But I do agree that sometimes threads can go down a slightly different route from what was intended by the OP, and that the discussion can still be of merit. Then the moderators are placed in a difficult position, one with which you can empathise with. When you were administrator of a forum you were quite possibly placed in a similar position. In which case the decision of whether or not to allow the discussion comes down to the moderator who sees what is being said. In which case it is their personal decision, not the decision of a whole group of moderators.

I have to say I'm honestly surprised that you are having trouble with any of the current Mods that are in place at this site. In my two years on this forum, I have never had trouble with any mod that made me feel so neglected that I had to make a thread to whine about it. People negged you, get over, people do it to me just for posting sometimes. :awesome:

And the mods are there to moderate. They are there to enforce the rules. If you don't like the way they handled it, then you should have contacted them in private and discussed it with them.

All this does is make you look like the child you claim not to be.
 
I'm sorry that you are having a hard time here. Please feel free to contact me, Shu, or the moderator in question so that we can rectify the issues you are having. With that said, I'll go ahead and close this thread.
