If this ends up leading to spoilers, then move it I guess... though I really can't see spoilers coming from this

I'm abit confused about the requirements for the trophies tbh, well, these ones in particular, the rest I'm sure I can work out for myself

Is it just purely points/stars related?

I got all bronze bar the last 2 which I got Gold for the final and silver for the one before.. though, the very last boss I got no stars :wacky:

How do you bump these up to silver/gold?

SE or whichever game company decided the value of the trophy. It's in no way determined by performance.
So everybody gets a bronze for completing chapter one etc.

what's the point in that?

I thought it was odd I got a gold at teh end of the last chapter after spending an awful lot of time looking at the game over screen/avoiding enemies xD

I'm new to this trophy lark, so hush :mokken:
 
Some trophies are bronze because they are meant to be easier to get, whereas he gold trophies tend to require a lot more work. You often get gold trophies in games for completing them and doing things which take time, and the same goes for silver too though obviously below gold. It's up to the company what trophy they give out and there is no way to change the value of the trophy as they are fixed.

You probably got the gold for the last chapter because you essentially completed the game (I'm assuming), whereas bronze trophies were acquired for other chapters because they were just chapters and don't require a lot of extra effort to get through. They probably gave you a gold at the end to congratulate you for beating it.

I got zero stars for the very last boss, because I ''-__-''d at him, and at the crappy amount of points and zero CP I got
 
You probably got a gold for Huntmaster.
Trophies are basically a way of showing how much of a game you have completed. And of course comparing it with other people's to prove that you have a bigger penis than they do.

At least I'm not as shit as I thought I was then, I was getting really irritated by all the bronze fuckers...

So how the fuck do I know if OTHER trophies are goldable...?

If you view your trophy list on your PS3 console then it might tell you what value the missing trophies are. If not (as they are sometimes invisible and I haven't checked to see if this is the case with FFXIII) then check the trophy list / guide that Ryno provided as it tells you individual trophy values on there.
 
Orite, ok, I can see the colours for some of them

I don't really wanna go investigating the list yet, I only have like, 2 none storyline ones, so I'l come back to it at some point :hmmm:
