Celebrity gossip section?

It just occured to me that theres no like...specific section for talking about certain celebrities. Everyone loves a bit of gossip sometime, so i think perhaps a "Gossip" section could be made in Midgar? Since i couldn't find anywhere to post a gossip thread on Britney Spears i just threw it in entertainment daily, which noones ever made a thread in before :| so a specific section for talking about celebritys could be useful...
 
There is a lot of good gossip that I wouldn't want to see all over the general chat area, and a lot of it is actually a lot better than spam. I posted in that thread and she's an entertainer but where would you put something like that, it doesn't really have a definite place to be
 
Actually it could be a Rumors and Gossip section. Not just celebrity gossip but over all gossip and rumors. Such as rumors floating around about the PS3 dropping in price for example. We could get rid of the car section and switch it with a Gossip section.

The only down side to that idea is it can cause flame fests. "NO UR WRONG! NO UR WRONG! I WANT SOURCES PLX!"
 
Off topic: What happened to Pooley's News Section Proposal?

On-topic: Can't we just let those stay in the main Costa Del Sol or Music area? What exactly is the point of creating a new section for this when I've never even seen so much as a mention of celebrity gossip anywhere, even in the Entertainment Section? Are we sure it just wouldn't be just you guys posting in there?
And besides, a little sticky thread about 'Celebrity Gossips' would suffice, don't you think?


I'm not being antagonistic, I'm just presenting points I feel need to be addressed. :monster:

I liked the News Section idea! I'm all for it. Well, that's where some gossip stuff can go there basically. I just think the car section needs to go. =/
 
I don't understand why people obsess over the affairs of celebrities. Who cares how much crack Lindsay Lohan smokes? Who cares how many babies Britney Spears craps out? Who cares if Jen wants Brad back because Vince didn't work out, but Brad doesn't want Jen back because he has Angelina and a horde of adopted African children?

Unfortunately, lots of people do. Oh, well.
 
Yeah... I don't get it either... I have favorite actors and musicians, sure enough... But I don't follow them every second of their lives...

About all I could provide to a thread about celebrities is the obvious stuff...

That is probably the most ridiculous forum request I've ever heard. Why would you want a whole forum dedicated to poking around other people's lives? It's pathetic.
 
Well, at least that's interesting. Britney's fashion meltdown isn't interesting. Paris Hilton's dispute with Nichole Richie isn't interesting. Matt Damon's rise to the title of sexiest man alive isn't interesting.

Finnegan III possesses five cocks? That's interesting; therefore, I wouldn't mind hearing about it on television or through magazine covers.

I'm with Warbs on this. Costa, Music, or Spam (depends if the people actually takes the discussion seriously) is the idea here.

But if you really want, we could just sticky a thread dedicated for just that.
 
More in line with Pooley/Matt Bellamy, the News Section (if it ever gets created) can be used to cover such topics. Sub-section maybe under that?

Less in line with Pooley/Matt Bellamy, a whole section devoted to celebrities would be a bad idea. I'm sorry, but I doubt it'll get much traffic and it will take up too much time. I'm all for the aforementioned sticky thread though. =\
 
Yeah... A section sounds like too much... Few people would do more than add just their puny 2 cents in at random anyways...
 
The general forum section in the Entertainment forum or one of the spam forums is a fine enough place for topics like these, there's no point trying to decrease the size of the forums only to clog it up again.

The fact that there isn't many threads gossiping about celebs gives the impression that generally there isn't that much interest in them to begin with.
