Tutorial C4D Usage/Placement

Thank you very much. Quite helpful and such. =]

Thanks it's really helpful, I always wondered which place should I cut from the C4D.

I also have something that I want to emphasize on; don't use C4Ds as backgrounds. The way I used them in the tutorial is just a way to take advantage of focal points. For a background you should use gradients, filters, the original screenshot's background, the soft 100 px round brush, etc. C4D renders can also be used to leave a few subtle effects on a sig.

Ah, I know what you mean. When I first used C4D's, I kinda went too crazy with it. But yeah, I see what you mean by taking advantage of the focal point by manipulating parts of the C4D and making it somewhat subtle. I've seen it in your sigs and it does look more appealing.

Just another note, for some particular C4Ds, they work well as lighting, You can make some really cool lighting effects with them.

They tend to be the C4Ds with some soft edges, and large plane surfaces.

If in doubt, make your own C4Ds. It really doesn't take very long to pick up at all.
