I'm surprised there isn't already a thread on this, and if there is, it'll teach me not to make threads at 5am :wacky:

Anyway. Who's been watching it this year?

I think the talent has been really good, although I can't help but feel that it's not as good as last years.

I've been quite disappointed with the semi-finals so far. There were a lot of great acts in the first one - Susan Boyle, Sue Son, Diversity and Natalie, but after that, it seems like it's been two great acts every night, with a whole load of rubbish in between.

I was really annoyed that they picked Shaheen to go through tonight too >_> he absolutely MURDERED And I Am Telling You (I'm Not Going) it was awful.

The Semi-Finals make for a great week of entertainment though xD

I don't actually like Susan Boyle, yes, her voice is good, but I think the main thing with these shows is that if you don't look like you can do something and you can, wah-la, to the finals with you! Example is that 11-year old girl. Sure, amazing voice, but probably there for a novelty value.

Not to be mean, but y'know. That's just my opinion -_- Her voice isn't 'magical'. I saw a bit of that Shaheen kid on the news, he seemed pretty good.

I think I made one last year Mark xD

Im abit annoyed with all the singers going through, its a talent show, not X-Factor, Id of rather the Ventriloquist have gone through the other night, he was moer entertaining than just someone else who can sing... -_-

Forgot he dance act from teh tothe rnight, but they were WAY better than Diversity, and Stavros Flatley crack me up, entertained me n o end, and that's wha ti think this fuckign show should be about NOT some naffing singer that could just go on X-FACTOR :gasp:

I have to agree, whilst her voice is good, it's nothing special. The only reason she's got as much popularity is because no one was expecting her to do what she did. The only reason people like her and Paul Potts etc, go on Britain's Got Talent is because they wouldn't get anywhere in the XFactor.

I hope Aiden Davis wins it though, that kid is just top draw, especially since he choreographs all his moves himself, and at such a young age.
And at least the presenters made a wise choice of not putting the show on the same night as the Champions League Final >.>

Susan is amazing, but you can't blame her for being this popular - she never asked for it, the media and general public started the craze.

I'm thrilled Diversity, Susan, that 17 year old lad, Stavros Flatley, Flawless have gone through - very annoyed that Shaheen went through. I HOPE he doesn't win it, he murdered a brilliant song last night, and I don't care how much the judges loved him >_>

Gutted that dance group didn't go through, loved em to bits.

He did murder a brilliant song though-he like turned it into his own song and I must amit-----he Chose the wrong song!

Plus everyone knows Susan is going to win!

Stavros Flatley were better in the first round I think, but I bloody loved them. I was wetting myself when the son come on! And I agree that is for more entertaining, than singers. (it seems to be the singers are the ones who can't go on the xfactor ie too young, classical)

Susan boyle is good, but i think she was a bit smug on her first audition, AND i didn't think she was that good the other night, the start was a bit shakey and yeah she's decent but so are countless other opera singers.

susan boyle.. she is been, but not my cuppa tea.. i do really like the adian davies tho.. i thinks hes got a good chance to win ( or has he already gone ? only watched the first semi)

Nah, wouldn't say Susan was smug, she's a very modest, quirky lady xD

Aidan's not been on yet.

OMG can't believe Sue the viollinist didn't go through, she was one of ma favourite acts. Diversity, loving it, and I don't think Flawless quite lived up to their name yesterday. Shaun and Gareth was equally good, and I wouldn't have voted Flawless. Starvro Flatley deserved to go through, and so did Shaheen but MD should have gone through as well. Didn't watch it last year, Susan Boyle is SO overrated, too much fame so why should she still be in the show?

i would love it to come to flawless/diversity and have a dance off instead of the regular voting prosecc lol... but still hopeing it wont coz i think aiden hould get it

Susan Boyle can fuck off, quite frankly. Aye, her voice was a bit of a shock but, ffs, she's not a sensational singer, she's okay but nothing near worthy of this global hype...and that's coming from a fellow Scot, who should apparently be supporting her. -_-

Bit gutted that Sue Son didn't go through, she's one of the only people who's talented at something other than singing or dancing...plus, she played Explosive by Bond!

Diversity VS Flawless...Diversity are more likable because of the children, Flawless are more talented, so it's anyone's game.

Cba with singers, fuck off to the X-Factor.

Cba with any other kind of boring dancing.

...so, as it stands, ventriloquists ftw.

However, the best part thus far was Escala's performance on Monday. <3

Lol, I like how everyone's piling the hate on Susan. -rolls eyes-

Yeah Dave, not all singers can get pretty far on X-Factor. Would Susan get very far? Me thinks not. And Shaheen? He's only 12, and Natalie was only 10. BGT is kinda like an opening for these guys, only good way I suppose to get yourself like known nationwide and stuff.

Quit with the spam posts please.

Don't really like all the media hype over susan boyle it's not really fair on the other Acts
I am hope flawless or Shaheen-Jafargholi

He's Major talented and he's young can see him going far if he wins

Shaheen-Jafargholi.jpg

What annoys me about Shaheen, is that he's ALREADY been on huge stage productions like Thriller, but he doesn't mention that.

And, I don't know what the producers were on, making him sing a WOMAN'S song. If you want to hear a really BRILLIANT version of that song, listen to the one by Jennifer Holiday, or Jennifer Hudson.

As for Susan Boyle, I like her. Like Lisa said, she's a quirky lady and I think it's amazing that BGT is giving her this opportunity to sing, yes the media hype may be a little extreme, but she didn't ask for that, and she herself admitted she was shaky on her first note during the semi-final - wouldn't you be nervous if 100 Million people were watching and waiting for an encore?

Susan Boyle is doing ma head in, Susan this, Susan that, Susan's everywhere, even on tv and newspapers. She's better off alone on youtube, not on BGT 'cos she's already famous, ffs. I totally agree with what Dave said, minus the singers and best part's Escarla (you like them, perhaps?) AND the boring dancers thing.

You mean...the media is doing in your head, the publics obsession with her.

She never asked for this, so if youre looking for someone to blame, it ain't her.

Then it tells you that she shouldn't be winning BGT and being crowned "the most talented person in Britain this year". If they can't get half as far on a competition dedicated to their talent then maybe it's because they're just not that talented.

Singers on BGT are pathetic imvho, they know there's less competiton on that show and know they have a chance of getting a bit further, on top of the fact that there're fewer stages to get to the (semi-)final(s).

Nope, I think she's unbelievably over-rated and really just can't get my head around the hype. Sure, people can like her, enjoy listening to her (but also bear in mind this obsession started after ONE song, which I doubt would've even been a fraction as popular if she wasn't doo-lally :wacky:), a song that was sung rather averagely. There's nothing magic about her and she's not "the most talented in Britain".
