Ok, I'm trying to Boost Quezo, and the guide on Gamefaqs said I should be able to get it up to around 180. However, this is how I'm doing. I get it up to about 95 before the first X, then up to about 115 before the second X, then about 120 before the hand disappears.

That's nowhere close to 180! Am I doing something wrong?

Also, Zell, level 17, and Selphie level 13. They're both trying to draw Regen and other magics from Biggs and Wedge and by the time Selphie has stocked 300 magics, Zell is still stuck on 15 Regens. I've seen similar things happen with other characters too.

How do I get a character's Draw rate up?

Thanks in advance!!!

The higher a character's magic stat, the higher the success rate of draw is.

Also, you may not be pressing the button fast enough to reach 180, and you'd probably need a rapidfire controller to do it. I've only gotten to 150-ish.

If I remember right your draw rate is a mix of both your luck, and complete randomness. So unless you can Junction anything to your luck stat at your current location, you are going to have to just keep trying. And about the whole boosting thing, that is also random. You are just going to have to try to get a good boost and hope for the best. I have gotten Questcotl up to around there before so it is completely possible so dont give up. From the sounds of it you are doing really good in the game so you shouldnt have any problems.

Ive never got higher that 160 for quezacotl, they obviously expect you to have the fastest fingers ever, I usually average 140ish

As for drawing, the higher your magic stat, the more you draw

Draw is also dependant on who you're Drawing from, and what it is you're choosing to Draw. One character could be Drawing the simple Fire spell, whereas another could be Drawing... Ultima. The weaker the spell - the greater the quantity gained in a given time period, and likewise for stronger magics. I guess Regen could be considered useful, ergo slightly more difficult to Draw. Still, it further varies on how high the enemy's Spirit stat is [strength to resist magic], but obviously having high Magic stats will counteract this... somewhat. xD

Sadly, it's mostly down to patience. D:

Drawing is up to your magic stat and the m.def of opponent. If you have a high magic stat you can draw high but if your enemy is strong then drawing will be difficult.

Also try getting a turbo controller where you can set the square button to turbo. Then you'll probally get up to 160-180 but it will still mean never fail when the han pops up.

As has been said, aside from the magic stat - magic def, drawing just requires patience. Luckily as you rarely have need to cast magic, and once you get the various mag item refines, it becomes considerably less frustrating.

As for boosting, I think I averaged high 130s to low 140s, so I am not the best to give advice. I, however, laid the controller flat on the ground, held the select button with my left them, and rapidly tapped with my right index finger.
