Birthweek 2013
Welcome to Birthweek! As in previous years, there are a variety of competitions for you to get involved with. This year the Birthweek is commencing on June 6th itself, and for now we are posting up these guidelines. Forthcoming will be the competitions and award threads where you can state your nominations for the member awards. A couple of weeks after the posting of each competition the polls will be posted for both the competitions and awards, and then the week of voting shall commence. Start and closing dates shall therefore vary, so keep your eyes open for the commencement of competitions.
Not all competitions are poll and voting based, however, so these competitions may depend on the activity of members taking part, and will vary in length.
There will be prizes given in Gil for all competitions, and a kiss from Timmy the Turtle.
The values of Gil received will be stated for each competition as and when they are posted, but there will also be Gil offered to each entrant for your efforts.You are encouraged to enter as many competitions as is possible because, if you are blessed with winning points, the member with the highest accumulative points at the end of Birthweek shall receive a further bonus of 1000 Gil!
He are the prizes on offer for the winner and runners up for the whole of Birthweek:
Winner = 1000 Gil, coloured username (of their choice for 2 months), Baby Chocobo (colour and eggshell of their choice), a placeholder for the upcoming Moogle smiley (it would still need to be purchased, but one would be set aside for the winner in the shop, so to speak).
Second place = 500 Gil, coloured thread of their choice (1 month).
Third place = 300 Gil, coloured thread of their choice (1 month).
So, if you are available and ready, try and enter as many competitions as possible in order give yourself a good chance.
Several competitions are lined up so if necessary we will give a couple of days or a week extension. However, an earlier date is initially needed to discourage procrastination, so expect the official deadlines to be a couple of weeks from the posting of each competition, unless stated otherwise.
We'll be keeping a record of the winners for each competition and shall list them here, so check back regularly!
The list of competitions shall be revealed once details are finalised. These shall all be announced and posted separately, but be sure to also check this page for an overall collective list of the events and scores as and when the games commence!
