Best Reaction to Aerith's Death

Honestly? I don't think Aerith knew she was going to die, I don't think she wanted to make herself a martyr. She talked about what they would all do "when it was over".

I think she smiled because she saw Cloud, because he'd come for her again, just as she hoped he would.

 

[The Dilemma]

C'mon people. It's all about Sephiroth. Who fucking saw that coming?!? Well. I did think that scene was leading up to something very bad but, I mean, come on! Not that. Dude falling from the sky and stabbing her and laughing it off? No way. To morbidly bad ass.

I gotta say Sephiroth's mainly because that's the only one I really remember. Not because it's a "great" moment and I was glad Aeris died, but because it was so epic how he just swooped in, committed his act with no remorse, and goes on like nothing ever happened.

The rest of the party had the same reaction. They were shocked, saddened, and spiteful toward Sephiroth, so there isn't much difference there like there was with Seph's.

Hm...I was between Tifa and Cloud.
But I decided on Cloud.

I think it was more powerful in my personal opinion.I think at that scene Cloud "reconnects" with his old self,he comes out in some way...it's no longer the cold Cloud that cared little about people around him.It's the Cloud who is overwhelmed by emotions and it seems he was very surprised which makes me believe that he has long forgotten those feelings or he may have even forgotten that he can have them after his coma state.I think it was a wonderful sight to witness Cloud in that emotional state cause it doesn't only involve Aerith's death but it also involve a huge part of Cloud.From that we can see what an impact Aerith had on Cloud that could cause him such emotions that made him human that he actually was,not a SOLDIER(or an EX-)like he behaved most of the time in the 1st disc,cold,distant,uncaring.
