I've always had better luck with Genesis.
Plus, his animation sequence is pretty awesome.

Do you mean Sephiroth's DMW attack OCTASLASH (judging by Sephiroth's emoticon) and not Omnislash (which is Cloud's limit break attack in VII)?

I personally did not like Octaslash as it was too weak. Apocalypse was able to wipe out a huge horde of Shinra troops for me in the 200 soldier battle mission.

But I liked Cissnei's Lucky Stars too as it meant a constant stream of Modulating Phases if you have the Materia to get LS more often.

I suppose I'd have to go with Lucky Stars, you get more chance of getting more modulating phases with it. 'Looks' wise, I'd probably go with Apocalypse, I like when it all goes red and changes to Genesis, plus it does some pretty heavy damage

Probably LS as it opens an opertunity for a lot more. Probably with this rush Asuult or omnislash because I can get muliple 99999 hits although acoplpse is better for killing 3 or more people.

1 my mistake in calling it omnislash
2 it(at high lvls) can over 1000 damage per hit and combined with lucky stars i can do over 4000 per hit

w/ groups i wld prefer apocolypse, w/ singe enemy i prefer octaslash, but both will do for me
