Not played in a while, but listenned to some of the music on youtube so had the urge to play it again.

Loaded my last game, on disk 3, currently level 64. Can I avoid the northern cave or is that the definate best place to level now?

You can kleave the northern cave as long as you dont go beyond that point right at the bottom where you see your party gathered. Just level on magic pots using the multiple item glitch

Hmm. Was hoping I could avoid it for now, not enough save points lol.

Multiple Item glitch? Refresh teh memory Kellz0rz. xD

W-Item, select elixer to use, then instead of selecting the next one, hit cancel, select again, cancel etc til you have 99 of them :ryan:

Beware it works in reverse as well ¬¬

Ahh ofcourse yeah.

Elixirs to Magic Pots. W-Item = infinite magic pot pwnage.

Cheers, doing it now. :D

To elaborate on glitch; Use item wanted to be duped on whoever(dosent matter then pick second item but when it says the status of each player on the little menu thing and then hit [X] or cancel. Now g back to item 1 and hit OK on it. But dont use it. Cancel and then you should have 1 more item than before. Repeat as wanted. This cannot be used to get more than 99 of a single item.

The two best leveling up spots are (as mentioned magic pots) and the forest outside of Midell on the southern continent. You can enter the northern cavern and come out as many times as you like. When ever your asked to fight the final battles when your group is gathered. Say no if you want to keep playing. Cause if you go for the final battle you will not be able to return.

Go deep in the crater until you reach a swampy, surreal area. Down there lurks magic pots that can only be killed using elixers. Also, there are these ridiculously easy 'bouncing balls' that dont really do anything. Killing these enemies result in a massive amount of AP. And if I remember correctly, theres some good exp involved to? I dunno, you jus gotta find out. But its definitely worth doing either way.

There is exp involved passing to fair at his levels id say you gotta stay in the crater at this point though unless you wanna do some serious grinding and if you do grab some tab and break out the 80s power ballads playlist lmfao

Personally, I'd like to add the possiblity of Yuffie + Morph + Sunken Gelinika = Stat Sources + Better stats and decent EXP.

To elaborate, go to the sunken gelinika, (using the submarine, avoiding Emerald Weapon) and save first, then Morph everything you encounter. First room you enter has no battles. the 2nd room, first door to the right of the save has monsters that have power source (the orange short monster) and magic source (the other monster in that room)
the hallway (first visit = reno and rude) has little shrimp looking things that have speed sources (normally groups of 4 woot) and the last room has magic, power, and vitality. mug them first btw, they have pretty god items. and the exp and ap are quite decent, esp with Cid's Scimi and Cloud's Apocalypse.

I would say the Sunken Genika ship..................I levelled up loads there.............plus the monsters there drop rare stuff.........But the only bad thing is I guess that they are pretty strong.................But the sunken gelnika is the best place in my opinion..........Watch out for Emrald WEAPON when heading there...........Or if your really strong kill it

I countered the strength at first by using gravity....a lot. haha. that's actually how i do it anyways, just so i don't kill it before i morph. i personally didn't use the Yuffie trick, i just know she's got the best morph technique.

Equip her with her "Conformer" (her ultimate weapon).
The morph command only does 1/8 of the normal damage an attack does.
But her conformer somehow negates that effect, so she does normal damage. so if she's any good, she'll always do 9,999. and if you have "MEGA-ALL" it'll hit all the targets, and I'll almost positive the things in hall only have about 4,500HP.

Well there are a few places that are good for leveling up. It depends on your current level because if you are overleveled then is not worth staying at that spot at that moment, but if you are underleved then it is worth spending sometime leveling up your characters or materias. The areas that I find the best spot for leveling up are:

Nibelheim Mountain- This area has monster with descent EXP points for you to level up a few levels. Also is a good place for you to learn some Limit Breaks. I always manage to learn a few Limit Breaks in this area do to the numerous monsters that appears in each battle, which your Limit gauge will be filled more often and quicker if your characters have fury on them.

Junon- In the hallway where you find the shinra soldier practicing their moves by the Underwater Reactor Doorway. That hallway has a switch which set of a alarm with countless battles. The monster at that area gives good experience for you to level up a few levels.

Sunken Gelnika- This is one of the best place to level up do to the large amount of experience points and descent AP you receive by defeating the monsters in that area. Also you get to collect some useful items and obtain sources from the monsters to increase your character's stats as mention before. If your looking for a spot to increase your character's stats this is the best place to do so.

Northern Crater- This is the ultimate spot for level grinding and mastering materias since it is the last place of the game. The monsters are deadly but they will grant you a extreme amount of experience points and AP. As mention before the best place for you to level up and master all the materias with ease is in here. There is a spot where you get to fight the Magic Pots which gives you 8000 EXP, 1000 AP and 8500 Gils each. They are excellent monsters for mastering your materias and leveling up your characters to the max level. As for the Mover they only give you 800 AP and 30,000 Gils each which is still a good amount of AP to master your materias.

The definite best place is the Northern Crater.

The Sunken Gelnika is good for the reasons stated by Yoboom21. I can just add that you should probably skip Magic Sources. They're not as common as others and mastering the Magic Plus materia found in Coral Valey Cave is a much faster way to attain maxed magic.

Should you decide to train in Mideel Area, I suggest buying three Fury Rings in Gongaga and equip your characters with them. This way training is a matter of running and watching.

Don't forget that Mover's ALWAYS come in groups of 3. so it's 2400 AP per fight, but they are more difficult to encounter. and I was thinking magic pots gave less AP due to the movers...?

You're right I did forget magic sources, the experiment # 2 drops them. he can be found in the hanger, or in the lab. you can recog him by his many tentacles and love for thunder elemental attacks, and poison damage.

and Fury Ring? I don't believe I'm familiar with that particular acc. on the top of my head.

And personally, the only stat worth wasting materia plus on is Speed. and that's only because at max, it's slightly better than the haste magic. but speed sources are much easier to come by.

I'd also like to point out that, even though the game does not show it, you can put more points into your stat than just the 255 that the game shows. why you'd want to, unless you want Ruby Weapon to be a breeze, I have no idea.

My man you underestimate the powers of the last stage side!

:holyshit:"The Last area is a goldmine for Exp!":holyshit:

Just before the room with the sniny thing in the middle (you get a materia orb in the middle of the room!) you fight magic pots... .... those give mega exp!!!!

Also fighting ruby & emerald weapon & all party members remaining alive boost exp!

Even the first part of the last area hacve dark dragons that give good exp!!!!

Although if you want a challenge & aint afraid of little green men then hunt for the rare CATUAR ISLAND!!!!:holyshit:

Yes there is an Island off the map raer than the Round Island! I believe in the bottom left corner? (Its small!) there you fight uber cactuars who give lovely exp & also the secret Boss JUMBO CACTUAR! No lie... youtube ff7 jumbo cactuar! HE IS A BEAST!:holyshit::holyshit::holyshit::holyshit::holyshit::holyshit::holyshit:
