I'm going to say X only because it brought the FF series to new heights

I mean, it was the first time characters had actual faces outside of FMV, not mush. It was pretty amazing back then.

FFX. From the opening FMV with Tidus and Blitzball to the many great FMV's throughout the game like the Kilika Lake one to the Spring Scene, to all of the Sin attacks. Amazing.

It was between 7 and 10 for me. Both revolutionary for FF IMO. But I voted 10 because the FMVs were of such a high calibre for the PS2. They wouldn't look out of place on the PS3. The in game graphics were great as well.

swell IX came out i think 2 years before X and seeing that difference is already amazing.....I know it may have been different formats IX (PS1) X(PS2) But even the games in 2001 were nothing compared to the graphics in X. I think even PS2 games that are released in 2010 (if they are) hardly even match how X was and that was 9 years ago.
