I was more distraught by Auron being sent than I was Tidus dissapearing. It soooo deserved an FMV not a mere cut scene. He was my fave character all the way through and then he made Yuna send him, well I was in peices! I think i cried more at that than Aeris dying.....altho i'm not so sure :sorry:

Did anyone else feel aurons loss more than tidus'?

I would rather Tidus go and Auron stay mainly because James Arnold Taylor is a douche.

I don't cry at computer games.

heh, im just an idiot and i'll cry at anything - i even cried when cait sith got squished in the temple of the ancients...i think that was partly to do with the music and what he was saying. BUT in my defence, games last a hell of a lot longer than films so i get attached to the chars then im like NOOOOOO when something happens to one of them

I didnt cry, thats going a bit to far but I would of preferred Auron to stay and Tidus to disappear forever.

I was quite sad but i didnt cry when he got sent i mean he was my fav! damn it auron might've been able to save X-2 if he was still unsent>_< anyways i wouldve prefered tidus just get pushed off the airship:P

haha yeah, he was way too annoying, i like my ff heros to be the strong silent type!

No, didn't cry. I knew that he was
no longer existant
so-to-say,
so it was expected that he wasn't going to stick around at the very end; he had to make his exit obviously if he was already dead
. I think the game did a great job of telling you what happened between him and Yunalesca so many years ago instead of just throwing you the big Plot Twist that Auron is actually
an unsent
right at the end of the game at the emotional climax.

I was sad to find out what happened to him, but that's a part of the emotional cling of the game. Same with Tidus, Jecht, and even those who perished in Operation Mi'han (spelling).

Great ending to a great game.

I felt sad but at the same time, honored, that I got to know the guy. He was dead to begin with so he shouldn't have lived longer than he did. The coolest thing about this scene was that HE chose when he should leave the world. Auron is a badass enough to make death wait on him. He could probably decide to live a little longer. But then knowing that the world was finally at peace. Then maybe he should too. Like i said before. Great scene!

Very good point there. I love how he did not let the anger or evilness build up inside him like so many others who were unsent in the game. Even though he was in the state he was, he did not turn into a fiend or enemy because he had a role to fulfill in the game and he did a damn good job of it.

Like BusterSword pointed out then, he knew it was his time and he told Yuna it was the perfect time for her to send him and end this all.

"Heroes are remembered, but Legends never die." (sandlot rip-off) :P

I didn't cry because I kind of suspected Auron to be dead, especially during a scene where Yuna began to perform a sending and Auron grabbed his chest, grunting like he was in pain from it, but still managed to stay. Also the Farplane scene kind of gave it away that he really wasn't "of the world" so to speak. It was sad to watch him disappear yes, but Tidus's had more of an impact on me because of the fact that he and Yuna were in love and being torn apart. I think I was upset more for Yuna than I was Tidus disappearing. The thing that got me most was Yuna's ending speech. That was probably the most emotional scene in the game for me, or when Tidus found out the truth about Yuna's fate. Either way, Auron's was sad yes, but I didn't find it as sad as I did the others.

i knew he was an unsent as soon as he refused to go on the far plane but naive as i am, i didn't expect him to want to be sent at the end.....*sigh*
altho, had i thought about it at the time, i shoulda known it was inevitable.....*cries*

Well...I was kinda sad when Auron was sent. But to tell the truth I was happy in a way: he got to rest for eternity. But if there was a way which sounded like this: "sacrifice Tidus and save Auron"....then screw Tidus. There are a lot of other guys for Yuna, and Auron would live.

Nah, I didn't cry, but I was disappointed that Auron's end wasn’t made into a FMV. In my opinion; Auron truly was the best character in the game. However, I was more saddened by the tragic end that Yuna had to endure then Auron’s situation…

Reason being is and as it's already been said... I kinda figured early on in the game that Auron was already dead and I also figured Tidus was as well, but like the past games, I figured Yuna and Tidus’ love would somehow have a happy ending, not a tragic one (Ignoring X-2).

Auron was a greater loss than tidus coz he was a better fighter and more experienced and also tidus was an ass bag who was a crap character anyway

ok wow you really didnt play this game then did you.. if you have you would have noticed that tidus was a MUCh better fighter... when all charaters are at full strength auron becomes useless... not to mention auron is the weakest of the entire party with his secret weapon lulus little onion knight will do a constant 99999 while aurons sometimes hits as low as 85670 bigh difference in my eyes. also aurons overdrives suck throught the game while tidus has slice and dice and blitz act

I was also distruaght...he is easily my favourite FF character out of all the games. I also knew he
was an unsent (dead)
, but i didn't really want him to leave.

Auron ROCKS!

I knew that Auron was going to go eventually anyways. I did not cry but I was like..."damn". haha. He was an awesome warrior. He was the only one not seen or mentioned in FFX-2. >___<!
